★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1100/10!!! I had the absolute pleasure of attending Yogamour for the first time last night for my first experience with a Sound Bath. It was truly the most therapeutic experience I’ve had in a long, long time… maybe ever! Dorianne and Michelle were AMAZING. I immediately went home to look up other workshops that Yogamour offers, and I plan on signing up for a membership for classes ASAP as well. It was just one of the most rejuvenating and peaceful experiences. I had no idea what to expect going in, but upon walking into the studio, I was greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere with good vibes all around. I thoroughly enjoyed the cacao ceremony and the sound bath from start to finish. In fact, I didn’t want it to end! It was such a safe space with great energies flowing throughout. And my favorite part about the entire thing was the “corrections” they did for us at one point. After she was finished with my “corrections”, I felt wildly different. It’s very hard to explain it now but it almost felt a little bit “magical”. So, even though Yogamour is about an hour away from me, I will absolutely be back… VERY SOON and OFTEN! Thank you Dorianne and Michelle! You may have unknowingly saved me a little bit last night. There’s something very special and spiritual about you two. 🙌🏻 🙏🏼 Namaste. Also, the studio itself is BEAUTIFUL! Props to the owners for such an amazing, thoughtful, and safe space for healing and restoration. I hope you all stay in business for many, many years to come. Peace to you all.
February 16 · Emily ClossonThe experience was delightful. Everything, from the breathing exercises to the music created with the Tibetan bowls, was mesmerizing and calming. Cindy and Tim created a space to connect inwardly and outwardly. I didn’t know what to expect, so when I left with a sense of peacefulness, I was certainly glad I tried something new.
March 16 · Rebecca BurdetteI have loved my experiences at Yogamour! I’ve taken two classes because they offered an awesome gift to teachers. The studio feels warm and welcoming. Erica runs FUN classes that anyone can benefit from. I loved it so much that I signed up for the summer!
May 24 · Krista KolbI purchased two tickets for a “sound bath” workshop, intending it as a thoughtful birthday gift. Based on the description (which is now unavailable), we expected a calming, meditative experience with sound bowls—something relaxing and grounding. Unfortunately, the actual workshop was the complete opposite. It involved expressive dance, chanting, and movement that felt far outside the scope of what was advertised. It wasn’t at all what we signed up for, and we weren’t the only ones who felt this way—another attendee left before we did and confirmed that the description hadn’t aligned with the experience.Even before the workshop, communication with Yogamour was disorganized and frustrating. I tried for months to confirm workshop details. The first number I called turned out to belong to someone currently teaching abroad, and though I left a detailed voicemail, I never received a response. I only learned they were out of the country after calling a second number listed on the site. That person gave me an email contact, but I never received a reply from them either—something that would be unacceptable in most professional environments. I even made a trip to the Yogamour location in Frederick in hopes of speaking with someone in person. After waiting for a class to end, I was ultimately told to “check the website,” which felt dismissive and unhelpful.Despite all that, I still proceeded because the person I was buying this for really wanted to try it. We visited the website together and chose what we believed was the right session. But when the workshop finally happened on May 18, 2025, it was simply not what was described. We stayed for about an hour out of the scheduled two, giving it a fair chance before leaving—disappointed and frankly, a bit frustrated.I would not recommend Yogamour based on this experience. Communication was poor, follow-up was nonexistent, and the actual workshop did not match what was advertised. I hope this review prompts the team to reconsider how they handle both customer inquiries and workshop descriptions. At the very least, I’d appreciate some form of acknowledgment or consideration for the experience we had—and the time and effort put into trying to make it special for someone else.
May 22 · Eddie ArayaPrenatal yoga with Erica at Yogamour was a highlight of my pregnancy. I always left feeling more connected to my body, baby, and other moms-to-be, and often found myself still chuckling at a one-liner from Erica while driving home. Lovely studio, lovely instructors, definitely worth the price.
