★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Overall A very small spot for yoga with a lot of clases throughout the day from morning to late evening (8pm) for a decent price. I’ve visited this spot a handful of times since it’s a few blocks away from my apt. I appreciate the commitment to serve the community and stay affordable and inclusive. Things to note, arrive a few minutes early to check in with someone holding a phone or iPad with the class attendance . Cons: The building isn’t very accessible as they have super steap stairs to go inside. Also their ac isn’t the greatest, can get stuffy during the summer days. The weekend classes are super packed and you’re literally touching the person next to you so I avoid those (personal preference) Pro: You can rent a yoga mat for like $1 and pay via Venmo once inside the studio. Overall very friendly instructors, with chill energy, and there is plenty of free two hour or zone 6 parking around the studio. In terms of membership, I believe that the monthly unlimited fee is around $100. That includes yoga at the H Street location and all the others and online options. That’s affordable compared to other studios near by.
August 12 · TracieWelcoming and warm!! The culture and tone of classes here at Yoga District totally match what their website promises. I have felt so welcome and the space is free from judgement. Classes are well guided, with lots of options, but ultimately it's the instructors and volunteers who set a tone of warmth and welcome. Highly, highly recommend.
May 22 · hannah graysonIt has been so amazing to join this community of folks at Yoga District. Coming as a novice to yoga I never felt judged or unsupported in these classes. I started with the BIPOC Saturday classes which was such a good soft landing for me starting my practice. Yoga District has a variety of class types and levels and at an extremely reasonable price. The instructors are truly what make the space but I'd like to give a special shout out to Aaron, Miguel, and Felix for being so welcoming. 10/10 would recommend!
May 20 · Asia KingGreat instructors, beautiful studio, and amazing organization! They are very community based with flexible fair prices, a mix of classes from easy to challenging (they have different levels you can check online for each class type) and at all different dates and times. As someone who's never been to an in person yoga class, I felt very welcomed and comfortable. I will say, each class and instructors are different so having basic knowledge of yoga poses is very helpful to know beforehand (but not necessary). I would suggest taking different classes to fit your pace and needs! Overall love Yoga District!
January 19 · Suhey OrtegaH Street studio is my favorite YD studio (though all are great!). It’s the perfect ambiance with plants galore, wood floors, brick walls, and plenty of natural lighting. It really helps to get into the yoga mindset, especially when coupled with the amazing YD teaching staff! 10/10 recommend
