Y7 Studio Upper East Side Introduce
In a city as fast-paced as New York, finding a space to slow down, go inward, and reconnect with your body can be a challenge. Y7 Studio, with its Upper East Side location, offers a truly unique and transformative yoga experience that has become a "happy place" for many of its clients. The studio's philosophy is simple yet powerful: "Sweat dripping, beat bumping, candlelit yoga." This is not your typical silent, airy yoga studio. Y7 redefines the practice by bringing high-energy hip hop and R&B music into a dark, heated, candlelit room, encouraging you to focus on your own practice without the distraction of mirrors or outside judgment.
The studio is founded on the idea of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of their fitness level or yoga experience, can feel at home. It is a women-owned business that identifies as LGBTQ+ friendly, cultivating a space where all individuals can feel safe and comfortable to explore their practice. As one long-time member noted, Y7 helped them "find my practice again" and was a big part of their "personal healing journey." The instructors are consistently praised for their passion, expertise, and ability to create a very good class with a gentle, open energy and an excellent flow, making it a wonderful escape to go inward.
Y7 Studio Upper East Side is located at 1459 3rd Ave #4F, New York, NY 10028. This prime location in one of Manhattan's most desirable neighborhoods makes it easily accessible for residents and visitors alike. The studio is well-connected to public transportation, with the 4, 5, and 6 subway lines at 86th Street, as well as several bus routes, all within walking distance. The convenience of its location allows New Yorkers to easily fit a powerful and restorative yoga session into their busy schedules. The studio's commitment to accessibility is also demonstrated with a wheelchair accessible restroom, ensuring a welcoming environment for a broader community.
Y7 Studio offers a variety of services centered around its unique Vinyasa yoga practice, designed to challenge and inspire.
- Vinyasa Yoga: The signature "We Flow Hard® Vinyasa" class is a dynamic and energetic flow series done in a dark, heated, candlelit room. The class is paced to the beat of hip hop music, guiding your breath and movement. This open-level class is both challenging and accessible, with instructors offering modifications for all levels.
- Flow & Restore: This class combines active flow with longer, more restorative holds, perfect for unwinding and de-stressing.
- SCULPT: A high-intensity, low-impact class that incorporates weights and resistance for a full-body workout, all in the signature Y7 heated, candlelit environment.
- Teacher Training: Y7 offers a professional teaching certification program, allowing dedicated practitioners to deepen their knowledge and share their passion for yoga with others.
- Online Classes: With a comprehensive on-demand platform, Y7 provides unlimited access to a library of online classes. This service was a "true life saver" for a member during the pandemic, allowing for a consistent practice from home.

Y7 Studio Upper East Side is celebrated for its unique features that make it a standout in the crowded New York yoga scene.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Y7 is my happy place. I've been going to the studio since 2017. It helped me find my practice again many of the instructors were a big part of my personal healing journey. The pandemic changed things a lot for me, so have not been as consistent as I used to be trying to balance bodybuilding and my own teaching class schedule, but I've prioritized yoga back into my life again and am back at Y7 and it still fills my cup and my heart.I've also had the pleasure of checking out the Austin location with Rain and it was wonderful too!Highly recommend this studio. all levels welcome and it's a wonderful escape to go inward in a dark heated room.
April 21 · Kicking with KaraChristopher was wonderful. He taught a very good class and was completely present. A very gentle, open energy, and an excellent flow. I don't often write reviews but he is a true yoga teacher.I take a star off for how not hot the studio can be sometimes, and that they turn on fans during class sometimes. It is supposed to be HOT yoga.
April 01 · Mila BaroI come to y7 everyday I love it but I’ve had enough rude encounters with the people at the front desk that I felt like leaving a review this time. This behavior totally ruins your day or at least for me. The funniest part about it to me is that being nice to people coming to take a class is one of the very few things their job includes. So thank you for being rude to people that are just trying to go about their day and finish their week by just taking a simple workout class!
April 21 · coco adamsI’ve been coming to this studio for years and even if I don’t vibe with every instructor, I know I’ll always feel supported and welcome. Recently, when one of my regulars was out sick, I decided to try the yoga™️ place nearby. It was so jaw droppingly terrible that it made me swear I will always stick to Y7 when I’m on the UES. Best studio in the neighborhood hands down. Keep an eye out for their sales on class packages!
April 22 · Miki KawasakiWas my first class, and I thought it was great. Appreciated the instructors guidance throughout and reflections offered. It wasn't an easy class for a beginner like myself, but I appreciated being pushed in a supportive environment. Would go again!
