★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had taken a break from working out due to work. I was going to go back but I just found out yesterday that Wolf Fitness was rejected by the franchise owner due to non-payment of utilities and rent. It was then bought by Flex Fitness and owner or someone who has same name has criminal history and possibly some charges against him. Something shady is going on. My credit card is still getting charged every month for the last several months for a gym that doesn't exist and my contract had ended awhile ago. I filed a dispute with my credit card company today and put a block on my card so I can't be charged anymore. I hope we can get a better, more reliable gym there soon.
October 16 · Tara HeiserAside from this place being the filthiest gym I've ever been to (it was nice in the beginning), I took a break and wanted to start back up again. I bought a membership for a year which would have gotten me till December of this year. I go to the gym, all the equipment is GONE and the front door says whatever is left of the gym is open only for Jack'd fitness members and Under/Over BJJ. I'm dejected and disgruntled as my card kept getting charged, yet apparently there is NO GYM left. From reading the recent reviews, calling the gym (literally everything is gone including the front desk), emailing the supposed owner with no response for weeks, I ended up canceling my card and reporting fraudulent charges. I was encouraged by the bank to file a police report and the police in Upper Perk were wonderful and also perplexed by the whole situation as it was an odd situation. BUT he also said all members should get together (somehow) and go to small claims court over this as it's scummy. Wild.
November 23 · Kristen BarnaSo many problems where to start. Bought by Wolf Fitness and made no changes other that new aesthetics. Sold to insta: @bodybymaine who promised new equipment in October to Pennsburg and North Wales, Pennsburg was abruptly closed but still no new equipment delivered. According to Wolf Fitness The gym was ejected July 2024 due to poor standards and non payment. The gym name was changed to "Flex Fitness Jungle Gym" registered in August but they're still using Wolf Branding. Allentown property popped up and some of the removed equipment has appeared there. Now and eviction notice appears without warning at the center City property. The owner is never present to sell or cancel memberships. It's almost as if these properties are being unattended intentionally.Help by submitting a consumer complaint to the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General for resolution
November 30 · Sean HarrisonThe best part of this gym is the 24/7 access, if it wasn’t for that I would leave tomorrow. The gym continues to be very dirty with dust balls and debris all over the floor. The equipment breaks and takes a long time to repair. There is currently a bench that is simply missing a screw so no one can use it, even though there is literally and ace hardware next door but it has been like this for 2 weeks. The music is only on about 1/3 of the time. The thermostats are set at 73 degrees so the air barely comes on and on a humid day the equipment is wet and rusty and none of the extremely dirty ceiling fans are on. It’s a shame, because a little attention would make a big difference.
April 13 · Phil DeWirePennsburg, North Wales, and Center City properties were ejected by the Franchise owner due to non-payment and poor standards July 2024. Gym now owned by a "JQ" insta: @bodybymaine. The only address for Flex Fitness Jungle Gym is 615 Queen St, Stroudsburg. An individual with the same name has some criminal charges. Not sure what's happening with the ownership transition but it seems strange.Update: location closing due to lack of payment to property owner. The owner is purposefully misleading and deceiving advising they were removing equipment for updated models. Equipment removed by management so it's not included in liquidation.
