★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is a disaster. They send incorrect emails. They don’t follow up. They make parent wait in the freezing cold when they’re are seats for all! They aren’t accommodating. They marked my child as leaving early when she never did! The security guard in the front is RUDE. She brushed off parents when we have questions. This is why some parents of color do not like doing business with black owned companies. They leave you outside in the freezing cold until class starts at 9:30 on the dot. No worries that my kid is freezing. They are extremely inconsiderate and I’d rather pay $30000 more to go to a location where I’m respected than to come here again. I am anxious for this session to end so I don’t have to return. Do not send your child here.
December 21 · Catherine GalarzaI registered my 9-year-old daughter for the Harlem Gymnastics Invitational Competition, with her scheduled participation set for Saturday, February 24th. However, two days prior to the event, we were informed of an error placing her in the wrong group, requiring her attendance on Friday, February 23rd instead. Despite our request to maintain the original schedule, we were informed that there was no flexibility for her to compete on the 24th. After rearranging our plans, she arrived on Friday, only to be informed at the door that she was not supposed to participate that day. Eventually, she was permitted to compete, but her name and scores did not appear on the screen. Additionally, she was overlooked during the distribution of medals and ribbons. When we approached the organizer, she acknowledged the oversight but refused to rectify the mistake. Furthermore, she bluntly informed my 9-year-old daughter that regardless of her performance, she would only receive a sportsmanship token due to her attendance on the wrong day.For those unfamiliar with the sport, the girls commit four days a week and four hours each day to training, driven solely by their passion for gymnastics. The Wendy Hilliard Gymnastics Foundation Harlem's treatment of my daughter was utterly disgraceful and does a disservice to this beautiful sport. To all parents, please avoid this organization if you wish to avoid encountering their disrespectful attitude and lack of professionalism.
February 23 · Judy ZhongWe love gymnastics here and all staff has been kind, courteous, and patient with my kid. Well run and fun place that allows room for growth for kids through preteam and teams. Also more affordable by FAR the most affordable and willing to work within your budget of all gyms in the area.
August 04 · Abigail FuselierIt’s fine for a starter to assess if your kid likes gymnastics but the class sizes are too big for any real attention for any one child and the instructors seem more interested in showing off their skills than teaching. They instruct but do not do well in correcting form consistently enough. I will be taking my daughter to a different place next time now that I know she enjoys it and wants to improve
January 19 · Lynn GoldsteinI was totally disgusted with organization of the gymnastics invitational . They took my daughter from me as instructed when i signed her in . And ended up sitting her with another age group and was unable to locate her. They clearly didnt care that i couldnt find my 5 year in a gym with several other teams. I was frantic i was just being brushed off. In the mist of me trying to find my child another parent tried to fight me because of the overcrowded area. I left disgusted and embarrassed that another parent would be thats unclassy at thst kind kf event. My daughter will no longer be attending.
