The customer reviews reveal a mixed but insightful perspective on the UFC GYM Wrigleyville experience. A recurring positive theme is the quality of the gym itself. One reviewer stated that "The gym itself is great. Equipment & machines are great. Not usually packed." This suggests that the core offering—the workout space and equipment—is of high quality and not overly crowded, which is a major benefit for many members. However, a significant source of frustration for this customer and others appears to be related to facility maintenance and management. The same reviewer notes issues like a broken urinal, a non-working TV in the locker room, and a small, often full locker room due to trainers' personal belongings. This points to potential operational challenges that impact the overall member experience. Another customer's review highlights issues with customer service and communication. This individual was disappointed by a tour that was scheduled but then delayed, leading to them leaving without a workout. This experience created an impression that the location is "not staffed to support their membership" and that management could have handled the situation better. While the customer was excited about the gym's concept, the negative first impression led them to decide not to join. These reviews collectively suggest that while the gym's core offerings—equipment, classes, and atmosphere—are strong, there may be a need for improvement in facility maintenance and customer service to match the premium experience members expect from the brand.
For those interested in visiting UFC GYM Wrigleyville and experiencing its unique training environment, you can find it at 3519 N Clark St STE C201, Chicago, IL 60657, USA. It is always a good idea to contact them directly to confirm class schedules and to ask about any current promotions or membership packages that might be available.
So, what makes UFC GYM Wrigleyville a worthwhile choice for people in Illinois? The gym's primary appeal lies in its immersive and specialized fitness model. It's a place where you can get an intense, full-body workout while also learning valuable skills like boxing, kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The combination of traditional gym equipment with martial arts training creates a dynamic and challenging routine that prevents boredom and keeps members motivated. For those who are looking to push their limits and train like an athlete, this gym provides the perfect environment. While some public feedback highlights potential areas for improvement in management and facility upkeep, the fundamental aspects of the gym—its equipment, classes, and the energy of its training—are highly regarded. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Maintenance is overall terrible usually. Urinal hasn't been fixed in months. TV in locker room has never worked since I joined- since they opened the location few years back. Some news or sports on it would be nice. I've asked the managers & they give me the run around. Some locker doors are broken. Trainers use the lockers for their own personal belongings & take them up causing paying members not to have any come busy time. There should be a separate room for trainers belongings. Over all locker room sucks - it's too small. The gym itself is great. Equipment & machines are great. Not usually packed.
June 16 · Orlando LozaAfter having a series of bad gym experiences at my previous gym, I am in the market for a new gym membership. I made a decision to try out a couple passes around the neighborhood and my first pick was UFC Wrigleyville, even though it was a little farther than I wanted to walk (25 min from home). I really enjoyed the web design and information - the classes and layout seemed really interesting. There were decent reviews, so I was really looking forward to it. I filled out my request for a 3-day pass, and Jessica gave me a call same day to schedule a tour for 6 PM. I got there a few minutes before 6 (dressed to work out after the tour) to fill out their online questionnaire/liability etc, and grabbed a seat for my tour with Jessica. It was 84 degrees outside, and I will say, it could have been cooler, especially considering this location gets hit with the afternoon/evening sun. At 6:11, Jessica walking by on another tour says she is wrapping up and would be no more than 5 minutes tops. At 6:25 PM, after I had been waiting all that time and not having heard anything further from the staff, I went up to Jessica's desk and said I was going to leave. Jessica offered me to start a workout and a free pass and apologized saying they were short-staffed and people went home/called out. I also noticed their food/smoothie bar also was indefinitely closed, so I got the impression this location is not staffed to support their membership. I left. I am disappointed and taking it as a sign this wasn't meant to be. My future gym is out there, but I will not be back and do not recommend this location for reasons mentioned. There were so many better ways that whole thing could have been handled. The time to make someone feel valued isn't when they say they're leaving, it's when they walk in the door.
August 11 · Galen MulveyMade an appointment to check out the gym. Jessica was amazing. Very sweet, friendly, and patient. She took the time to thoroughly show me everything the gym has to offer. The facility is clean, and the staff are kind. I’m excited to start my fitness journey!
August 14 · David HReggie was a great coach. He’s really funny and hands on. Throughout class he was detailed, helped you understand, did quite a few one on ones to help and took it slow. Will definitely be booking his class again. You can tell he loves what he does, it shows through class- his level of experience is through the roof. His attention to detail when someone has their hand in a specific space it’s not supposed to be.. It’s like so effortless to him it’s like he can do the class through his sleep lol give him a raise.
July 17 · Arielle DupreeGreat gym. A lot of people think it’s a fighting gym but that’s not the case. While they do have coaches/classes that offer things like that, this place is a legit gym open to all walks of life. They have pretty much everything you’re looking for with a friendly staff, wonderful coaches, and great workout equipment. Definitely an awesome spot if you’re in the area.
