Troy Lucero’s Acme Yoga Project offers specialized services that cater to those who are serious about their yoga practice. The studio’s primary focus is on Ashtanga yoga, and its offerings are designed to help students build strength, discipline, and a deep, personal connection to their practice. The key services available include:
- Teacher-Supported Independent Practice: Also known as Mysore practice, this is a central offering of the studio. It allows students of all levels to practice the Ashtanga sequence at their own pace, with individualized instruction and adjustments from Troy. This method is highly effective for developing a personal practice and receiving direct, one-on-one guidance within a group setting.
- Guided Practice: Based on classical Ashtanga sequencing, this is a more traditional class format where the teacher guides the group through the practice. The vigor and pace of the class are determined by the general ability of the group, ensuring a challenging yet accessible experience.
These core offerings, as described by a customer, reflect a teaching style that is "excellent" and "world-class." While the approach may not be "traditional" in the strictest sense, it is celebrated for its ability to help students avoid rote memorization and instead develop a more mindful and personal practice. The studio operates on a drop-in or package-based payment system, and accepts both credit cards and debit cards, making it easy to pay for your classes. The focus on these specific styles of yoga makes it a destination for those who are serious about the Ashtanga method and want to learn from a true master.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1As a South Asian person and capoeira master, I've been in search of getting more connected to my own people's movement practice, yoga and adding yoga to my daily capoeira practice. I can say after many years of searching for a yoga teacher, I found him, Troy is a true master, a master of masters you can say. Excellent classes and instructions, world-class.
May 21 · Syed TaqiWonderful setting to practice. Troy is very talented teacher with great deal of knowledge and experience. He is very careful with students so injury is not a concerned. The Mysore practice is very enjoyable.
January 03 · David ScottTroy specializes in Ashtanga style yoga. He just knowledge of this type of yoga goes extremely deep. For those unfamiliar with Ashtanga it is a standard series of poses. The classes focus on the primary series with variations that are slightly different each time. He offers two types of classes one guided yoga class style and another which is self guided called Mysore. I have not yet been to the Mysore classes. In the guided classes he emphasizes good technique and quality of movement. He will challenge your preconceptions of yoga. He is respectful of your personal space but will assist you in positions if you desire. I have gone to yoga classes for several decades at this point and this is hands down one of the best classes offered.
November 06 · Jennifer LeeThis the best yoga in Seattle. This the where all the other yoga teachers go when they are not working. Troy has a intuitive sense with each student and is especially good with injuries or working through a tough spot in your practice.
September 25 · Shane RobinsonThis is a great space for practice in all senses, and Troy is an amazing teacher with deep knowledge and an admirable skill attending to each student and supporting where they are in their own practice.
