★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I absolutely love taking classes at Towne Barre! The instructors are always so positive, welcoming, and full of energy, which makes every class so much fun. As a mom of three, having this time for myself has been truly priceless — it helps me relieve stress, recharge, and feel stronger both physically and mentally.
July 09 · Gina AndersonI tried everything, physical therapy (good ones too), chiropractors, Rolfing, acupuncture, gyms (Pilates, yoga, water aerobics)…etc.to find someone who understood my individual needs to realign my body. I was born with hip dysplasia. That resulted in a full hip replacement, back surgery, two meniscus tears, and I now live in a senior body. Going to the gym was ok, however, I never knew how to improve my overall flexibility, strength, posture…and areas of my body that just weakened. I can’t do floor exercises because I also broke my wrist…now resulting in a plate and pins to hold it together. You get the picture…and I’m blessed to have wonderful surgeons who put me back together…but not without limitations, My acupuncturist recommended Towne Barre and I discovered “therapeutic Pilates” with Tammy. It has been amazing! For the first time, I feel improvement. I now engage my core and understand what that even means. She explains why I am doing the exercise and shows how to do it correctly. I sit taller, my neck is getting better, etc. it’s only been a month working with Tammy but I can say, it is the first time I found someone who addressed my individual needs within the entire body. I am beyond thrilled to finally make the mind and body connection. Thank you Tammy. And I wish anyone reading this review will find his/her connection too.
February 05 · Patricia SnyderThis was the first place I ever tried barre, and it set an unrealistically high expectation for what to expect from other barre studios. The instructors are so friendly, welcoming, and bring an energy to the class that makes even the most challenging movements feel fun. I found this place out of curiosity on ClassPass but it has become a central part of my exercise routine.Definitely take Stretch and Restore yoga with Marley; it sounds easier than it is, and has helped me out so much with increasing my mobility. She has us moving in ways I've never seen in a yoga class before, and yet I never have the feeling of "am I doing this right?" that plagues me at some yoga studios. It feels like everyone in the class has a personal yoga instructor, because she will give the most intuitive directions or a hands on adjustment to everyone. She genuinely cares about each person in her class, and I consistently feel AMAZING afterwards. Also a must-try: Barre with Brittany. I'm a very large man, so a barre class was a relatively intimidating environment to walk into. Time and again however, Brittany's contagious positivity has made me feel like I belong, and allowed me to really enjoy the workout. She is constantly engaging in a way that makes me give everything to the workout and have fun while doing it.Bottom line: amazing vibes at this place; you should try it even if you don't think it would be your thing.
August 29 · Liam CusackTowne Barre offers a great workout, with amazing instructors. Every instructor finds a way to incorporate their personality into their classes, creating a rich schedule of offerings to meet everyone’s interests. However, what makes Towne Barre stand out from any other place, is their sense of community. You will find support and encouragement from everyone and be welcomed as soon as you take your first step through the door.
February 09 · Tabatha BeckI’ve tried a few barre studios and towne barre is by far the best. The instructors are all amazing. I leave feeling energized. The class schedule works with my schedule. The studio is clean and airy. Julie and Tammy are my weekly instructors and they keep me coming back. I struggled to keep a consistent routine with barre before I found this studio. Also love all of the events they host and the work they do for the community. You cant go wrong with any of the instructors. You get an exceptional, well led class no matter who is teaching.
