Tanya is genuinely the most kind, welcoming, and understanding business owner and ensures her staff are also reflective of these values. When I moved to Frederick I was worried about forming community but Toned has been a great space for developing relationships. Tanya is a resident of Frederick so she knows the town and is constantly finding ways to connect studio clients with downtown small businesses. I’m so proud to be a member of this studio.
May 29 · Courtney CampbellUpdate: I started going to Toned last June at around 3-4x a week. It became and still is my favorite workout to do/studio(s) to go to! Six months later, I found out that I'm pregnant. Of course there are 1000 variables that go into how you feel during a pregnancy--I don't have pre-existing health issues and have been low-risk this whole pregnancy--but I contribute how great I generally feel to starting my pilates practice 6 months before pregnancy and sticking with it during. I feel so strong, my energy is stable, I can still do other things I love like long walks with our dog and hikes without wanting to fall over/need a bunch of breaks. As much as Toned has helped me during my pregnancy, I know It will be equally, if not more helpful, when I'm dealing with postpartum. Alex is my go-to--she's fantastic with the modifications I need, sharing them with a lot of patience and positivity--also love Tanya's classes. 10/10 recommend!Review from June 2024: Having only ever done large Pilates classes at places like solidcore or club Pilates, I loved the intimate feel of class! It was challenging but still fun, and Tori was great. I’m excited to find a workout class that is tough but doesn’t totally break you! The downtown studio was also beautiful and clean. I can’t wait to go back!

Here’s what I’ll say, if you’re looking for a local Pilates studio that’s challenging, but also makes you WANT to push yourself, this is place is it. Every instructor has their own style which I I personally love. The fact that I’ve left every class feeling sore tells me I’m using muscles I don’t typically engage from regular strength training! From the thoughtful design and decor, to the reformers, it’s definitely a space to clear your mind and get back to the basics of intentional movement in the body. I am grateful I’ve found a studio that supports where I am currently on my health journey!
