The Sanctuary Boxing Club Introduce
Welcome to The Sanctuary Boxing Club, a unique sports coaching facility located in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. We are more than just a place to learn how to box; we are a dedicated community where young athletes and kids can develop not only their physical skills but also their character. In a world that often emphasizes competition, our club focuses on building a strong foundation of discipline, respect, and self-confidence. Led by a professional boxer with extensive ring experience, our coaching goes beyond the sport itself, integrating valuable life lessons into every practice. We believe that the skills learned in the ring—like perseverance, focus, and integrity—are essential for success in all aspects of life. Our friendly and engaging environment ensures that every child feels welcome and motivated, making the hard work feel like fun. We are proud to be a local hub for families across the Pennsylvania region, providing a safe and nurturing space for kids to grow.
Our approach to coaching is what truly sets us apart. We understand that parents are looking for role models and mentors for their children, and that's precisely what our coaches are. They are not just focused on teaching punches and footwork; they are dedicated to shaping well-rounded individuals. The positive impact on our students is evident in the glowing reviews from parents who describe our coaches as "awesome with the kids" and "better role models for my daughter" than they could have asked for. We believe that by teaching respect, anti-bullying ethics, and the importance of good grades, we are contributing positively to our community. The Sanctuary Boxing Club is where kids can work hard, have fun, and gain the confidence to face any challenge, both inside and outside the ring. The fact that a child "asks every day when he gets to go back" is the best possible proof of the positive and engaging environment we have created.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Richie does a great job with the kids... has a fun personality that makes the practice fun for the kids even while they're working hard..and keeps parents laughing a bit at the same time. Solid instruction from a pro boxer with extensive ring experience, not just a fitness wannabe. Talks to the kids about ethics, anti-bullying, and the importance of good grades. My kid asks every day when he gets to go back. Highly recommended, worth the drive even if you have options closer to home.
November 29 · Steve RRich and his team are awesome with the kids. Not just teaching the boxing they teach respect and some life lessons. Always reminding the kids to do the best that they can. I couldn’t ask for better role models for my daughter. If you are interested in taking boxing Lessons HIGHLY recommend The Sanctuary Boxing Club!
February 24 · Sharie WileyIt's more of family atmosphere than I would've ever imagined before joining. After almost a year of my kids and I training here, we have gained so much more than I can fit in a review. Mental toughness, better health, an outlet for stress and anxiety, a new skill set, but most of all a second home. This sport and this gym will have a lifelong impact on my family. Coach Rich is an extraordinary fighter, family man, and coach. He expects everyone to give their best while accommodating people of various levels of fitness together in a way that makes everyone comfortable. He has set such a welcoming tone in the gym that it has really taken on a life of its own. It's a safe environment to be vulnerable and earn major gains--mind, body, spirit. It definitely lives up to its name--Sanctuary.
April 04 · Trista Lucas"Pretty" Richie cantolina is the real deal. A pro boxer and coach. Coaches anyone that is interested in boxing. Has taught my son for about 7 months and he loves it. explains what he is doing wrong . Rich also teaches the kids life lessons of anti bulling and other skills.
