But I wasn't happy with how I felt, and I started coming here. Brenda's emphasis is on getting strong, not getting skinny, and on having what you eat support your goals. It took a while but I finally bought into her nutrition and fitness philosophy and at 51, I'm in the best shape of my life. I feel great, I sleep well, my clothes fit better, I never feel deprived, and I actually look forward to working out. It helps that the culture in the gym is supportive and usually hilarious.
