Along with loving that the gym is always clean, that members are hard workers and super supportive of each other, training with Kalvin is something I have looked forward to each and every week. Kalvin is consistent, reliable, knowledgeable and genuinely cares about and believes in me and my potential. Since training with Kalvin, he has prepared me for 4 strongman competitions and a weightlifting meet where my confidence, strength and technique has gotten better with each one. He challenges me with his programming and high expectations but never forgets to make sure I am enjoying the journey- it is exactly what I need and what keeps me looking forward to more progress! If you're looking for a coach who shows up, challenges you, and believes in you—Kalvin is that coach. I can’t recommend him or The Bar highly enough.
