StretchLab Introduce
Welcome, fellow Pennsylvanians, to a unique and transformative approach to fitness and well-being. While many fitness centers focus on building muscle and cardio endurance, StretchLab in Pittsburgh offers a specialized service that is often the missing piece of the puzzle: assisted stretching. Located in the vibrant Strip District, this studio is dedicated to helping people of all ages and fitness levels improve their flexibility, increase their range of motion, and feel better in their daily lives. By providing one-on-one sessions with trained professionals, StretchLab offers a level of care and expertise that you simply cannot achieve on your own.
The core philosophy of StretchLab is to help you "reclaim your freedom" to move. They understand that a lack of flexibility and mobility can lead to pain, poor posture, and even injuries, regardless of how active you are. Their method, which is backed by a proprietary training program, focuses on working with your body's natural stretch reflex to achieve lasting results. The environment is designed to be welcoming and a place where you can feel refreshed and revitalized after just one session. The highly trained staff, known as "Flexologists," guide you through each stretch with careful, professional assistance, ensuring you are safe and getting the maximum benefit from your session.
StretchLab is conveniently located at 1827 Smallman St in Pittsburgh, PA 15222, USA. Its prime location within the Strip District makes it easily accessible for residents of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. The area is a hub of activity, with many shops, restaurants, and other businesses, making it easy to fit a stretching session into your day. The studio is committed to accessibility, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. This dedication ensures that people with mobility challenges can comfortably and safely access the services offered.
The convenience of the location, combined with these accessibility features, makes StretchLab a practical and inclusive choice for those in the Pennsylvania region. Whether you're coming from work, from another gym, or from home, the easy access and available amenities make for a smooth and stress-free experience from start to finish.
StretchLab offers specialized services centered on improving flexibility and mobility.
One-on-One Assisted Stretching: This is the studio's primary service. You work directly with a highly trained Flexologist who designs a series of stretches customized to your specific needs. Sessions are available in 25-minute and 50-minute formats.
Group-Assisted Stretching: In addition to one-on-one sessions, StretchLab may offer group classes led by a Flexologist. These classes are designed to help you increase flexibility and improve your range of motion in a shared environment.
Trained Flexologists: All Flexologists undergo an intensive training program to learn about the muscular system, proper stretching techniques, and how to work with clients of all ages and physical abilities.
Restroom: The facility provides a restroom for the convenience of all clients.
Payments: For ease of use, StretchLab accepts both credit cards and debit cards.
StretchLab's key highlights are its unique services and the benefits they provide to clients.
Professional and Knowledgeable Staff: Customers consistently praise the Flexologists for their expertise and attentiveness. They are described as knowledgeable, professional, and able to adapt stretches for specific needs, such as during pregnancy.
Tangible Results: Many clients report significant improvements in mobility, flexibility, and a decrease in pain and stiffness after just a few sessions. For people who work out frequently or sit at a desk all day, these results can be life-changing.
Customized Experience: Every session is designed specifically for the client. The Flexologists listen to your concerns and goals, ensuring that each stretch is relevant and beneficial to you.

For residents of Pennsylvania, especially in the Pittsburgh region, StretchLab is a service worth choosing for its professional, targeted approach to flexibility and mobility. While it is not a traditional gym with cardio machines and weights, it provides a crucial and often overlooked element of a healthy lifestyle. What makes it a top choice is the expert guidance of the Flexologists. It is nearly impossible to get a stretch as deep and effective on your own, and the trained professionals at StretchLab can safely push your muscles a little farther, leading to noticeable improvements in flexibility and reduced tension.
The benefits of a membership are clear and practical: increased mobility, enhanced athletic performance, and a significant reduction in muscle and joint pain. For people who have a hard time committing to stretching on their own, or who have specific needs due to an active lifestyle or an injury, the structured, one-on-one sessions are incredibly valuable. The reviews from clients who have experienced relief from tight hamstrings, back pain, and even pregnancy-related discomfort highlight the effectiveness of their services. The personalized, one-on-one attention ensures that your specific concerns are addressed, making every session a worthwhile investment in your health.

August 15 ยท Keya LowryThe one-on-one assisted stretching at StretchLab is amazing! The trained flexologists help different muscles get to what feels like your max stretch and then with breathing for a few seconds and careful, professional assistance, they help your muscles go a little farther. It feels amazing and is so beneficial for increased mobility and flexibility. Iโve been coming weekly for two months so far and Iโm so glad! Each flexologist is knowledgeable and attentive to specific needs, including making appropriate and informed modifications for me during my pregnancy, which has been so very helpful! Always feel great after!
March 27 ยท Annalea ThiessenI've been going weekly and I feel great and have seen a lot of improvements to my flexibility and well-being! Everyone is very welcoming and knowledgeable and each session we get to focus on the areas that need attention.
July 21 ยท Erik HOur first time at StetchLab today(Sunday, 3/23 @ 1pm). My hubby's buddy told him how great he feels after leaving StretchLab so we gave it a try.Walked in to smiling, friendly faces. VERY clean facility. We had to remove our shoes to enter the client area, which I liked, because I also have a no shoes rule for our home.I don't remember the young lady name who checked us in but she's a gem, so sweet.I had Nick and my hubby had Matt.Nick is AMAZING!!! He's very friendly, professional and personable. His smile lights up the room. I was a little nervous because while waiting for my hubby to find parking, I witnessed other clients getting stretched and I thought it was going to hurt. Nick stretched me good and asked how I'm feeling, if it was too much, reminded me to breathe. We laughed during my session because I'm ticklish. Sorry, Nick(lol). My hubby said, "Matt is the man." He recognized attention was needed to my hubby's shoulders (because of work) and gave him helpful tips on how to correct his posture to avoid injuries. My hubby said his shoulders and chest feels more "loose" .I knew Matt must've been good for him to say, "We have to figure out how to go at least monthly."We're looking forward to seeing Nick and Matt soon.
March 23 ยท N. LeiThe "stretchologist" was great. If I could give just her 5 stars I would, but I can't. If I could give Stretchlab as a whole a zero I would. I started with a trial, it was great got my buy in paid the $179. Then I got an injury that put me in a boot cast. I did one session with the boot. I had to do further test on my foot which revealed a much larger tear putting me on non-weight bearing. I first called the front desk, she said I couldn't cancel because I was in a 90 day period. I read my contract it alludes to no such thing. I wrote the manager and was like hey, my doctor said it's a no go for doing any of these activities. I want to cancel, but I can't give you a 30 day notice as I hadn't even been a client for a full month when this happened. I want to cancel it going forward ... He called me, left a message saying something about a freeze and to give him a call. I called back and he wasn't there and was told to call back. Well, here we are I'm being billed for another month that I can't do. $179.99 isn't anything to sneeze at especially since I'm on medical leave. . . . Yayyyyyyy.
