StretchLab Introduce
For Washington state residents, particularly those in the highly active communities of Bellevue and the greater Puget Sound area, maintaining optimal mobility and flexibility is as crucial as strength and cardiovascular fitness. StretchLab Bellevue is a specialized fitness center that has redefined this aspect of wellness by offering customized, one-on-one assisted stretching sessions. It is a unique concept in the fitness landscape, serving as a dedicated resource for people of all ages and fitness levels to move better, feel better, and live better.
Located conveniently in Bellevue, StretchLab is built on the philosophy that flexibility is a cornerstone of overall wellness and longevity. Their approach is simple yet profoundly effective: highly trained professionals—known as Flexologists®—do the work for you, guiding your body into deeper, more targeted stretches than you could ever achieve safely on your own. This assisted technique not only helps to alleviate persistent muscle tightness, neck kinks, and hip issues—as noted by highly satisfied local customers like the one who found relief from hip and IT band problems—but also unlocks greater freedom of movement for daily life and athletic pursuits.
The center’s methodology integrates advanced techniques, notably Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching, to achieve maximum gains in range of motion. For anyone in Washington looking to accelerate recovery, break through fitness plateaus, or simply relieve the aches and stiffness that come from long hours sitting at a desk, StretchLab Bellevue offers a customized and professional solution often described as the 'missing piece' of the fitness puzzle.
StretchLab Bellevue is strategically situated to serve the Eastside community, making it easily accessible for professionals, athletes, and families across Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, and surrounding King County areas. The studio is located in a prominent retail area, ensuring ease of access and visibility for local users integrating stretching into their regular routine.
The facility’s address is: 14315 NE 20th St, Bellevue, WA 98007, USA.
The center’s management has prioritized physical accessibility, a key consideration for clients dealing with mobility issues or injuries. The accessibility features include:
- Wheelchair accessible entrance
- Wheelchair accessible parking lot
- Accepts major forms of payment, including Credit cards and Debit cards
The studio generally encourages appointments to guarantee a specific session time and Flexologist, ensuring a highly personalized and efficient service experience. While walk-ins may be accommodated, booking ahead via phone is recommended to ensure consistency in your stretching progress.
StretchLab Bellevue’s services are hyper-focused on customized flexibility training, delivered through highly structured, one-on-one sessions.
The primary services available to Washington users include:
- Standard 50-Minute Stretch: A deep and extensive full-body assisted stretch session that addresses all major muscle groups and extremities. It is ideal for significantly improving range of motion, reducing stiffness, and achieving a comprehensive 'full body stretch massage' feeling.
- Maintenance 25-Minute Stretch: A focused session concentrating on major muscle groups or specific problem areas, such as the neck, shoulders, or lower back. It is perfect for quick muscle relief, recovery post-workout, or when time is limited.
- One-on-One Customized Stretching: Every session, regardless of length, is tailored to the client's individual needs, mobility level, and specific goals, such as hip flexibility or pain relief. Sessions utilize custom-designed stretching benches.
- MAPS Assessment: A revolutionary 3D technology assessment that performs a total body movement scan in under 30 seconds. This identifies movement inefficiencies across four critical categories: Mobility, Activation, Posture, and Symmetry, allowing Flexologists to create a measurable, customized movement plan.
- Normatec™ Compression Therapy: An optional add-on pneumatic compression therapy designed to enhance muscle recovery, increase blood flow, and further improve range of motion, typically applied to the legs post-stretch or workout.
- Group Stretches: In addition to one-on-one services, some small-format group sessions may be available, where a Flexologist guides clients through a warm-up and a sequence of stretches.
The features of StretchLab Bellevue revolve around professionalism, advanced technique, and a commitment to measurable wellness results.
- Certified Flexologists®: All practitioners complete the proprietary Flexologist Training Program (FTP), an intensive, Nationally Accredited course (per ICE), making it the first such program in assisted stretching. This ensures a high level of expertise in muscular anatomy and proper stretching technique.
- Proven Methodology: Utilizes Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) stretching—a highly effective, advanced form of passive stretching that involves a "push & release" technique to safely achieve deeper stretches and maximum gains in flexibility.
- Customized Approach: The one-on-one sessions are never generic. Flexologists discuss current flexibility, injuries, and goals, customizing the stretch to focus on problem areas like hip and IT band issues or chronic neck tension.
- Focus on Comfort and Safety: Instructors like Michael are highly praised for their technique, making even a deep stretch session feel "much more comfortable than anticipated," and constantly checking in on the client's comfort level (aiming for about a 7 on a 10-point intensity scale).
- Measurable Progress: The use of the MAPS assessment technology provides a tangible way for clients to track their progress in mobility and symmetry, reinforcing the value of consistency.
- Amenities: Includes a clean Restroom for member use.

New clients are typically offered a special introductory rate for the first 50-minute stretch and mobility assessment, providing an excellent, low-risk opportunity to experience the difference of professional assisted stretching.
For the Puget Sound resident, choosing StretchLab Bellevue is an investment in longevity, performance, and immediate relief that complements any existing fitness or wellness routine. It is worth choosing for several compelling reasons that set it apart from self-stretching or a general gym.
First, the effectiveness of the assisted stretch is unmatched. As clients discover, a Flexologist's trained, PNF-based session achieves a deeper, safer stretch than can be managed alone, leading to an "immediate improvement in flexibility" that is difficult to replicate. This makes it an essential tool for athletes looking to improve performance and mobility, or for those suffering from chronic pain due to posture or injury recovery. One customer testimonial perfectly captured this, describing how a Flexologist resolved "hip and IT band issues" and worked out kinks after long travel.
Second, the professionalism and specialization—backed by a Nationally Accredited training program for all Flexologists—provide peace of mind. Clients can trust that they are receiving expert care that is customized to their specific body and goals, not a generic routine. This high degree of specialization is a vital resource for injury prevention and recovery in the active Washington community.
Finally, for those who find the self-discipline of daily stretching challenging, a membership at StretchLab provides the necessary consistency and accountability. By booking regular sessions (typically four or eight per month), clients ensure that flexibility remains a priority, translating into lasting results in posture, movement, and overall well-being. While specialized services like this often come at a higher price point than a basic gym membership, the tangible, immediate, and long-term benefits to body movement and quality of life firmly establish StretchLab Bellevue as a worthwhile and essential component of a Washington resident’s commitment to optimal health.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a fantastic experience at StretchLab with Michael. He was professional, knowledgeable, and made the entire session feel approachable and effective. I was expecting an intense and uncomfortable stretch, but Michael’s technique made the process much more comfortable than anticipated. I noticed an immediate improvement in my flexibility, which was a pleasant surprise. I’m looking forward to continuing sessions and building on this progress.
May 25 · Lance PetersonJorie at the StretchLab Bellevue is amazing. She helped me resolve some hip and IT band issues and I just came back from some long flights and she was able to work out all the kinks in my neck and shoulders. I feel like I had a full body stretch massage :).
August 29 · LISALittle late review but I would say one of the best places to get stretches for severe back pain. I hadn't worked out in a while and had tight hips and joints due to desk work every day. Belay and Jessica were very helpful, providing great insights and also provided good information on how I can go about stretching. I would highly recommend this place for folks who are looking to get back into workout/sports again..
June 09 · DeepakI’m not a fan of stretching, but know flexibility is a critical component to wellness. I’ve been working with Alex twice a week for 50 minutes. I’m noticing much faster recovery times, improved performance during my workouts, and through “Alex’s homework” I’m building a solid foundation of stretch exercises that for the days in between stretch lab.
May 14 · Matthew WahlrabBlake was terrific to work with. Very sensitive to my limitations and needs. Pushed me to a point where I felt much more mobility/flexibility and not so far that I felt any residual pain or discomfort. Always checking with me to make sure I doing okay.
