★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been coming to this gym for over a decade and I’ve always been pleased with what they had. I am a simple guy so let that be known. But I will say ever since new management they have been slowly upgrading the gym as far as fixes and equipment. The staff at the front desk specifically mark and Max are great energy and knowledgeable about the gym and fitness. If I could ask for one thing it would be to fix the machines in a more timely manner because at the end of the day we are paying customers and there is a fee for “maintenance”.
July 19 · Dasshawn SerranoNot one to go out of my way to write a bad review for small things, as I know people work hard but this place is bad, and the customer service is worse. Machinery is always broken, things like wipes or sanitary supplies or hand sanitizer are always empty, and just last week, I was charged $120 in 1 month for my $40 monthly membership because they were "accidentally" charging me for guest passes every time I visited and swiped my key card upon entry. They admitted this was their fault but refuse to resolve it. Place is pretty poorly run.
August 09 · DevI can happily say that after a year I'm out of this place. I got stuck with the year just because it was close to my house and the previous, previous, previous manager said that "things were going to improve". Yeah, that did not happened. It has the worst hygiene, 5 out of 10sh treadmills are useless (and for a while now) and sticky. Their screens are useless and 80% of the screens of everything else was blank. Sauna has 1000 rules that make no sense other than laziness and lack of understanding of how they work, and no one respected them anyways because they made no sense. Is moldy and the drain is clogged with old sweat and dust. It took them 8 months... 8!!! to change the bulb inside of it, and after that, you wanted to keep it off. because yuck.... dangerously slippery ALWAYS. The previous manager 2nd on my time there, was slightly improving things, I could see she was trying, but there was no support from "above", so after a couple months things where back to sucking. Bad water pressure, with those water saving nozzles that feel like you are taking a shower with a spray bottle. Shower curtains are "installed" with zip ties, the soap containers got filled ONCE, when the 2nd manager got in. That's it!I can continue but why beat a dead horse.Stay away from this place.Cheers
May 24 · Juan Pablo GorigoitiaIf I could give zero stars I would. I joined this gym at the beginning of the year and worked out here for a few months, and I have to say, my experience was horrible!! The gym itself is a decent size and has the potential to be great, but unfortunately, it’s plagued by several issues and it sucks!First, the equipment is often broken and stays that way for months. The gym is also not very clean—I’ve never seen anyone clean the sauna, which raises serious health concerns. You could workout at 5am or just before closing. Still smells horrible. You could place a rag in there on Monday and still see it Friday. Additionally, the gym is poorly organized. At $60 a month, you expect to walk into a great gym, HA I laugh at that expectation. With all the issues, it is overpriced, especially considering there are other gyms in Bethlehem with similar pricing, or even slightly less, that are just better . If this gym were priced at $25 or $30 a month, it might be more reasonable, but at its current price point, it’s hard to recommend. Unfortunately, Steel Fitness is by far the worst gym I’ve been to in the area.
November 27 · Juan Reyes-RodriguezFirst of all I will echo everyone else, this gym is overpriced, it is dirty, the water fountains and air conditioning are constantly malfunctioning. There are so many better and cleaner gyms for similar or cheaper prices. Also they only let me cancel in person instead of over the phone, like why cant you just email me the form and I'll sign it like every other gym? Litterally nobody in this gym cleans up after themselves or wipes down weights or machines. The machines and benches look like they were salvaged from a scrap yard.
