High-Intensity, Low-Impact Classes: The cornerstone of the experience is their signature 50-minute workout. These classes are designed to be high-intensity, targeting your slow-twitch muscle fibers through a series of slow and controlled movements. This approach builds long, lean muscles and increases overall endurance without putting unnecessary stress on your joints.
Core-Centric Workout: While it's a full-body workout, a significant emphasis is placed on strengthening the core. The exercises are specifically crafted to engage and challenge your abdominal muscles, leading to improved stability and a stronger foundation for all physical activities.
Experienced Coaching: Every class is led by a professional coach who provides clear instructions, encouragement, and motivation. They are there to ensure you are using proper form to maximize the benefits of the workout and prevent injury. The coaches' energy is a key part of the experience.
Custom-Designed Equipment: Workouts are performed on 'Sweatlana,' a proprietary resistance machine. This machine allows for a wide range of movements and resistance levels, making each class adaptable to different fitness levels and allowing for continuous progression.
Personalized Guidance: While in a group setting, coaches often offer individual feedback and modifications to help each person get the most out of their workout, whether they need to scale back or intensify a movement.

What is worth choosing
East Liberty stands out in the Pittsburgh fitness scene for several compelling reasons. The primary appeal lies in its unique and highly effective workout method. Unlike traditional gyms where you might spend hours on various machines, a single 50-minute class is designed to be a complete, transformative experience. The focus on slow, controlled movements forces your muscles to work harder and longer, leading to rapid and noticeable results in strength and definition. This is a perfect solution for busy individuals in Pennsylvania who want to maximize their workout time. The low-impact nature of the exercises is another significant benefit, making it a sustainable fitness choice that is gentle on the joints while still being incredibly challenging. This makes it a great option for a wide range of people, from those recovering from injuries to seasoned athletes looking for a new challenge. Furthermore, the positive and encouraging atmosphere, as highlighted by a customer review, is a key factor. The sense of community and support from both the instructor and fellow classmates can make even the most difficult workout feel achievable. The warmth and encouragement from the coach can be the difference between a good workout and a great one, and it's clear from the feedback that the coaches at East Liberty excel at this. The cleanliness of the facility is another non-negotiable for many, and the studio's commitment to maintaining a spotless environment adds to the overall positive experience. The accessibility features, including wheelchair access, make it a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. While some may find the music and instructor's energy intense, this style is exactly what many people are looking for to push their limits and get the most out of their workout. The effectiveness of the workout speaks for itself, with customers reporting feeling muscles they haven't used in a while. For those in Pennsylvania looking for a different kind of fitness journey, one that is challenging, efficient, and results-driven, East Liberty offers a powerful and unique alternative to the traditional gym. It's a place where you can challenge yourself to your limits and walk away feeling stronger and more empowered. While the trial class has a cost, many believe the investment is worth it for the results and the quality of the experience. It's an opportunity to experience a different kind of burn and build a solid foundation of strength and endurance that will benefit you in all aspects of life.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This was my first ever Pilates class. I must admit I was nervous . At my 5am session I was warmly welcomed by coach Nick , his energy and vibe throughout the whole workout was incredible! It was such a great experience from the instructor Nick to the people attending! The atmosphere was so encouraging & veteran classmates accepted me and cheered as I completed my first class. It’s not easy , I’m an ex track athlete but I felt muscles engaged that maybe I haven’t used in a while. I’m so glad I went to experience this and I will return , highly recommend! Also a spotless facility which was comforting.
January 09 · Raven RussellIf you like aggressively loud music, an instructor that never stops yelling commands at you over said loud music, to the point where most are confused about what they should be doing in any moment, this class format is for you. Ps. There’s no single class for free to try and they will not refund your $80 trial two weeks regardless even if you hated the class.
August 29 · Vanessa HoyI’ve ran marathons, worked with personal trainers, climbed mountains and served in the Marines. This workout is still the hardest 50 mins of my life. Granted I’m much older now but nothing I’ve done compares mentally or physically. The instructors are all amazing and helpful. If your new and unsure I highly recommend attending a class with Mathew the studio manager or Maddie. His positivity and motivation make you feel right at home. I’ve been a solid core member for a little over a year. It’s worth every penny and I love it.
April 22 · Brandy BadialiThe workout is good. I recommend it. Most of the coaches are amazing but many of the good ones have left. I have been doing this workout for almost 2 years but no longer attend. Although they made adjustments to allow for social distancing, they still mandate (although not recommended by the World Health Organization) to wear masks DURING the workout. For 3 months not wearing a mask during the workout was acceptable but now they forced me out. I find it extremely difficult to breathe while exercising with a mask because of certain conditions. Their philosophies do not align with me any longer. Try it out and see for yourself. The cleanliness of the studio could stand improvement as there is always dirt underneath the machines. They often do not provide towels like they did at the beginning. They also do not properly santize the equipment.
November 12 · Susan CoeWow! Challenging and so good! Great workouts and I would recommend everyone to try it! It took me a while to get in because I really wanted to talk with someone first, which took a bit of time, but someone from their team did contact me and got me in/gave me the scoop. My only suggestion would be to put more emphasis on this because I would have gone sooner! Maybe a phone number/email/new member selection in the app where people can connect to try their first class. Honestly, I would even suggest doing the first class for free. Then people can go in, chat with someone, and not wait to get in the door! It’s amazing!
