Located in the heart of Tribeca, this studio is more than just a place to exercise; it's a destination for those who want to push their limits and achieve a sculpted physique with a workout that is as intelligent as it is effective. This article will provide an in-depth look at the Tribeca studio, exploring its location, services, and what makes it a standout choice for anyone in New York City looking for a fresh and powerful fitness program.
SLT Tribeca is conveniently located at 87 Worth St, New York, NY 10013, USA. Its prime location in the vibrant and historic Tribeca neighborhood makes it easily accessible for residents and professionals in Lower Manhattan. The studio is situated on a well-known street, putting it within easy reach of various public transportation options. This accessibility is a key factor for busy New Yorkers looking to seamlessly integrate a workout into their daily routine. While a bustling location, the studio itself provides a clean and professional environment, with amenities like a restroom, ensuring a comfortable experience for all.
SLT Tribeca offers a focused and effective physical fitness program centered around their signature workout. The classes are designed to provide a comprehensive, full-body experience that is both challenging and efficient.
Pilates Studio: At its core, SLT is a modern Pilates studio that has evolved the traditional practice. It utilizes the Megaformer, a specialized piece of equipment that allows for a wide range of movements and resistance levels.
Fitness Center: The studio functions as a high-intensity fitness center, where the workouts are designed to push your limits and maximize calorie burn. The exercises target every muscle group, leading to improved strength, endurance, and overall body composition.
Personal Trainer: While classes are a group experience, the instructors act as personal trainers, providing guidance, corrections, and modifications to ensure you are getting the most out of your workout. They are highly knowledgeable and attentive, offering a personalized feel to a group setting.
Physical Fitness Program: The SLT method is a structured physical fitness program that combines three key elements: strength training, cardio, and endurance. This combination is designed to strengthen, lengthen, and tone your muscles in a single session, making it an incredibly efficient workout.
Megaformer Classes: The primary service offered at SLT is the group class on the Megaformer. These sessions involve slow, controlled movements with continuous tension, which helps to build lean muscle and increase overall fitness without the joint impact of traditional cardio.
The features and highlights of SLT Tribeca are what make it a top destination for fitness enthusiasts in New York City. The studio has cultivated an environment that is both welcoming and professional, ensuring a high-quality experience for every client.
Unique Workout Method: The Lagree Method, which is the foundation for the SLT workout, is a major highlight. It is known for its ability to deliver a full-body workout in a short amount of time, with a focus on core strength and muscle endurance.
Knowledgeable and Kind Instructors: The studio is praised for its friendly and knowledgeable staff. Instructors are often commended for giving great cues and options to modify, creating an inclusive atmosphere where all levels feel welcome. This support is crucial for beginners and experienced clients alike.
Clean and Professional Environment: The studio is described as clean and well-maintained. A tidy and organized space contributes to a better workout experience, allowing clients to focus on their movements without distraction.
Inclusive Approach to Modifications: A key feature highlighted by clients is the instructors' willingness to encourage modifications. This inclusive approach makes the workout accessible to people of different fitness levels and prevents feelings of being left behind or inadequate, which can be a major barrier at other studios.
Convenient Planning and Payments: The studio recommends appointments, making it easy to schedule your workout in advance. They also accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards and debit cards, for a seamless transaction experience.

For New Yorkers, what makes SLT Tribeca worth choosing? The answer is in its unique combination of intensity and inclusivity. While the workout is challenging and designed for transformative results, the studio also fosters a supportive environment. For those who are intimidated by traditional gyms or feel lost in a crowd, the small class sizes on the Megaformer provide a sense of community and personalized attention. The instructors' kindness and knowledge, along with their emphasis on the acceptability of modifications, make it a great option for all fitness levels. While some may note the cost for a drop-in class is on the higher side, it is a reflection of the premium experience—the specialized equipment, expert instruction, and high-quality facility—which is a standard in the New York boutique fitness scene. Ultimately, if you are looking for a workout that is efficient, effective, and will leave you feeling stronger, longer, and more toned, SLT Tribeca is a fantastic choice. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I gotta be honest, I had an unpleasant experience here several years ago. Initially I didn't leave a review, but now I see new locations open and I wanted to share my story.I purchased the starter pack of 2 classes, and the instructor was very absent, didn't explain any movements enough that I could understand how to successfully execute them (it was my first and last time on the reformer) but talked a lot about her personal life, her fiancee, and their upcoming vacation. I'm not a weak person, I teach mat Pilates myself, but I felt absolutely helpless. This one experience really left a bad taste about this studio and reformer machine. I didn't come back to take the second class I paid for, cause I didn't wanna feel like a failure anymore.Again it happened 5+ years ago, I'm not even sure if the same instructor still works there. But I'm not going back, and I don't recommend for beginners. There are so many different boutique workout studios that offer way more support and sense of community. My experience here was very bad
August 13 · Arina PabonLagree lover here who visited this studio while in town. Clean, friendly staff, lots to love. Danielle was my instructor and she was knowledgeable and kind. Gave great cues and options to modify while saying that modifying is perfectly fine to do. Loved the inclusivity and kindness. Only minor gripe is the cost for a drop in class but it’s NYC. Loved my experience.
August 02 · Sarah WielandLove the studio and instructor. the work out is challenging , but effective.I am able to work out the muscle groups ,mostly core and obliques in a way other workouts are not able to. I hope the studio will consider to offer month to month membership.
April 26 · DONG YANGWent here for 2 classes. This is what I felt either take at least 20 classes or don’t take at all to see any improvements, very average and a very very very confusing basic class. Did not feel like I got a good workout from the classes. Also too expensive as opposed to other studios in downtown manhattan. Overall the studio is clean. Music is average.
March 30 · Hiral PatelI can’t tell you how addicted I am to this place. I was always using ClassPass or going to Barry’s, but I have never felt and seen results more than at SLT. They have great instructors, every class is a challenge, and they have so many locations you don’t have an excuse to miss! I tried my first class exactly a month ago and I’ve been to 13 classes since.
