Raise The Bar Fitness Reviews
June - 2023My husband and I take partner training sessions with Max. Our three children paid for our first series of sessions, and we have continued ever since. I think I accurately speak for my husband when I say that taking the partner training sessions with Max A. is one of the best decisions we have made. It's not always easy to get started, but so worth the effort.Although, my husband and I walk every day, we need to add in strengthening and more cardio. Max is very attentive and tuned into our strengths and weaknesses while working with both of us to improve core strength, coordination, balance, heart fitness and large muscle strength.Highest marks for Raise the Bar Fitness, especially our trainer, Max.August 2023Just an addition to my previous review. I just had an annual physical and my total cholesterol and LDL dropped by 20 and 30 points respectively. While I am very cautious with my diet and have almost eliminated red meat, I also attribute this change to my work outs with Max and Daniel at Raise the Bar Fitness. In addition, my recovery heart rate is much faster than when I started at Raise the Bar. Thanks Max and Daniel!
August 23 · Jamie LewinJason structured our trainings around our personal fitness goals and is an excellent (and patient) teacher -- within just a few sessions, I was confident with workouts I never thought I could be capable of. Instead of a tiny confined area in the middle of a loud chaotic gym at a big box chain, I got to end my workdays at a private training studio seeing the same familiar faces each week. Jason is flexible with scheduling and is overall a great person to spend 2 hours/week with. For anyone looking to get into training & prioritize your wellness, Jason is your guy!
April 30 · Elizabeth ThaiI joined Raise The Bar about 8 months ago. With the pandemic and WFH, I felt like a big blob on my sofa. I wanted to get back in shape and finally take care of myself.Raise The Bar offers personalized training, I did the first evaluation session with Jason and since then I’ve been going twice a week.Jason is probably one of the nicest guys I’ve met in this city. He’s a smart trainer who genuinely cares about people he trains. Jason gives a ton of advice about mobility, strength, nutrition. He taught me basic movements of olympic lifting and I have to say: now I’m hooked.Jason also tracks progress: volume, body weight, body fat, which is a great way to keep me motivated. Not only I am much stronger but I’ve also found a good friend in Jason 🙏
June 23 · Reginald LipsBest parts of my week are training days at Raise the Bar! All of the staff are amazing and so welcoming, and I absolutely love the community. The facility has everything you could need for all different styles of workouts and is never over crowded.Jason is a wonderful trainer who puts so much work and effort into planning around the goals and interests of his trainees. We have been working together for a couple months and I'm noticing a huge difference in my physical and mental strength (also learned it's a C-L-E-A-N not a C-L-I-N-G lol). Jason has such a breadth of knowledge around fitness and is a blast to hang out with. Highly recommend!
February 25 · Kalina KwongThe trainers at this gym are the best in the city and surrounding area. I've trained at several gyms and what stands out to me is the kind of personal attention and dedication that the clients receive. Each trainer is solely focused on helping their client attain the healthiest body and mind possible with a personalized regime, tailored to fit the exact needs and situation for the client. I started training at first with Jason Gor, one of the owners, and he is the one who truly inspired me and helped me keep coming back, instilling both confidence and strength into my mental and physical health. Without Jason, I honestly don't know where I would be today. For the past year I've been working with Derek Coker, who is an extrordinarily talented and devoted trainer. His background in nursing and martial arts contributes to the overall knowledge and function of the human body, and he brings all of this to each workout with me. The results I've been seeing are spectacular, and while technically I've done the work myself, it's Derek that has given me the confidence and knowledge about the human body and how it functions. Every single trainer I've observed at Raise The Bar is dedicated to their clients, friendly, tough, and encouraging. You can't ask for a better dynamic or gym (clean, organized, with tons of options) and everybody has flourished here!
