Services Offered
Pilates Detroit offers a comprehensive suite of services that integrate therapeutic movement with classical Pilates instruction, all under the guidance of certified professionals. Their programs are highly structured and focused on individual progress.
The available services include:
- Physical Therapy / Rehab Pilates: Offering one-on-one, 55-minute private sessions with a licensed physical therapist specializing in orthopedics and spinal issues. This includes detailed evaluation, manual therapy (massage and stretching), exercise prescription, and a unique combination of hands-on skills with Pilates techniques to improve strength, mobility, and functional movement.
- Private Pilates Sessions: Personalized, one-on-one training with a certified Pilates professional. These sessions are highly recommended, and often required, for new clients, particularly those with injuries or special assistance needs, to ensure a safe transition to group classes.
- Group Lessons (Reformer Pilates): Small group classes on state-of-the-art Reformer equipment, categorized by skill level—from "New Kids on the Pilates Block" (focused on safety and fundamentals) to Intermediate and Athletic Reformer classes. These classes are designed to be safe, small, and challenging.
- Online Classes: Flexibility is offered through virtual classes, allowing clients to maintain consistency in their practice from home.
- Onsite Services: The main offering of the studio, ensuring hands-on instruction, use of specialized equipment, and direct communication with instructors and therapists.

What is Worth Choosing
Pilates Detroit is an exceptional choice for Michigan residents—particularly in the Metro Detroit area—who are seeking a fitness experience that is intrinsically linked to therapeutic and rehabilitative outcomes. What makes this studio truly worth choosing is its successful integration of a Reformer Pilates studio with a licensed Physical Therapy practice.
The reviews clearly demonstrate the value of this hybrid model. Clients dealing with major issues, such as "joint replacement surgery" and "various physical challenges," report highly positive and tangible results, including significantly improved "mobility and strength" and better "pelvic balance." This is a level of specialized, empathetic, and effective care that a general gym or even a pure Pilates studio simply cannot match. The staff's commitment to developing "adaptive methods" for clients with unique structural or physical needs is a testament to their professionalism and patient-centric approach.
Furthermore, the ability to transition from intensive one-on-one post-rehab physical therapy with a professional like Allison into small, focused group classes provides a seamless and supportive pathway for long-term health maintenance. This ensures that the progress gained in rehab is solidified and built upon through ongoing Pilates practice. For local users prioritizing safety, personalized attention, and guaranteed progress—especially following an injury or surgery—Pilates Detroit offers a unique and highly recommended service that stands out as a top-tier therapeutic fitness destination in the region.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love Pilates Detroit! They have been very attentive and thoughtful in figuring out how I can do Pilates despite my various physical challenges, which include a variety of structural issues as well as being "curvy". They have helped develop adaptive methods for me and helped me significantly improve my mobility and strength. They have supported me through joint replacement and always cheer my progress. Highly, highly, recommend!
June 15 · Emily EichenhornI came to Allison for physical therapy rehab after hip replacement surgery. We meet twice a week for 1:1 appointments and I take group classes two more times per week. It’s been three months and the weakness experienced on the surgical side is going away, replaced by stronger core and better pelvic balance. The progress is tangible and very rewarding. I strongly recommend Pilates Detroit to other joint replacement patients looking to get their strength and flexibility back.
May 20 · diana omecinskyWell I was feeling very sore back tight and legs hurting from working a 12 hour shift making Chrysler parts and someone suggested doing Pilates. At first I thought nooo that's for women then I tried it and I have to say it was amazing. I feel way better leaving from there today. My back is feeling looser I'm feeling lighter on my feel and they helped me get a lot more movement in my body. I'm telling you it's a great experience and more people should try it. If you go to Detroit Pilates 3281 Hilton I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Thank y'all for the efforts that you've put in to make me feel better. I will be coming back soon.
