One Down Dog Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the vibrant and diverse landscape of Los Angeles wellness, One Down Dog (ODD) has firmly established itself as more than just a yoga studio—it is a true community hub for mindful movement and holistic well-being. Nestled in the dynamic Echo Park neighborhood, this women-owned business has garnered a devoted following among California locals for its unique blend of professional instruction, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to inclusivity. The studio operates as a comprehensive wellness center, offering everything from traditional Vinyasa Yoga to Pilates and high-energy fitness classes, catering to all levels of experience.
The philosophy at One Down Dog centers on making yoga accessible, fun, and transformative. It's a place where practitioners are encouraged to 'be their fullest selves,' focusing on the feeling of movement rather than strict adherence to dogma. This approach, combined with a faculty of truly individual and highly professional teachers, ensures that every class—whether you are looking for a vigorous flow, a restorative stretch, or a full-body workout—provides a complete and fulfilling experience. As numerous long-time clients attest, the merit of ODD lies in its ability to attract and nurture unique professionals who genuinely connect with students, making the practice both spiritually enriching and physically engaging. This focus on staff quality and a genuinely positive environment is a significant reason why the studio is consistently hailed as a local favorite in the competitive LA wellness scene.

One Down Dog Reviews
I love this studio so much. The staff is very welcoming. All teachers are amazing! They all are so different and yet each of them is very professional. They found their styles of teaching yoga and I guess it’s also a big studio’s merit to attract those unique professionals to the studio. My personal favorites are Ken Jones and recently I tried and liked a lot a class with Courtney Sauls. Yoga can be fun with them!Besides of that, the studio is very beautiful which is also important for the experience to be complete. I love it with my eyes and heart 👀🫀
July 05 · Anastasia SkyeThis is a beautiful studio and the staff is so welcoming and attentive. The classes are fun and spiritual and I truly felt more connected after each time I went. I had some issues earlier this spring and they did everything they could to help me have the best yoga experience possible. I especially love Ken and Natalie classes, but everyone is excellent. I cannot wait to come to more classes when I return to LA in the winter.
July 16 · Karen Rae KaltenbornI want to share my experience at this studio. I've been attending yoga classes for exactly one month. I have a medical condition and have had a lumbar hernia surgery. My first day of classes brought me fear, shame, and disappointment, but upon finishing my first class, I realized that I belong at this studio. Now I can say that I was reborn like a phoenix. My body has strengthened a lot, my back has improved greatly. I'm once again doing movements that would be normal for anyone, but for me, it's progress. In other words, I'm grateful for the patience, empathy, and commitment that this studio has put into my recovery. I am eternally grateful, and all I can do is recommend that you enroll at this studio. Finally, my thanks to Magnolia, my yoga teacher for my Sunday morning class. Thank you for believe in me and dedicating your time, patience, and kindness.
June 08 · Eagl RockWhim whamieee - body sore, I feel good but I think my teacher tried to kill meeeeee 😂All jokes aside, I think I found my new spot for deep stretch's and a great workout. Took the FUBU Flow and had a GREAT time! Love the intentionality of curating an exclusively black space aaaand the commitment to inclusivity by allowing a sliding scale payment. Can't wait to come back!
