MUV Fitness Troutdale Introduce
Introduction / Overview
This essential community notice addresses MUV Fitness Troutdale, a location that has been the subject of significant discussion and disappointment within the local Oregon fitness community. Located conveniently in Troutdale, this establishment was intended to serve as a comprehensive gym and fitness center, offering a wide array of services including group classes, personal training, and wellness amenities. While it had presented itself as a spacious, modern facility dedicated to helping members achieve their health and fitness goals, the Troutdale location never fully materialized as promised.
For local users in Gresham, Troutdale, and the surrounding East Multnomah County area, the history of this location is complex. After collecting membership fees under the promise of a grand opening, the primary facility was never completed. Instead, a temporary "Enrollment Center" operated briefly at the given address, offering limited equipment and services.
Crucially, as of early 2025, MUV Fitness Troutdale filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. This filing was an attempt to reorganize the company's debt and address difficulties encountered with the planned Troutdale location, including disputes with contractors and the landlord. The enrollment center has since shuttered, and the space is now reportedly up for lease. This situation has unfortunately left many local members feeling misled, as detailed in numerous public reviews and complaints regarding billing issues and unfulfilled promises. The company has directed affected Troutdale members to utilize their other operating regional gyms, such as those in Southeast Portland or Beaverton, while the local Troutdale building remains closed and the future uncertain.
Location and Accessibility
The physical address associated with the former MUV Fitness Troutdale operation is located in a highly accessible commercial area, which was designed to be a significant convenience for local Oregon commuters and residents.
Address: 2469 SW Cherry Park Rd, Troutdale, OR 97060, USA
This location placed the center near major shopping and business centers, making it easily reachable from Gresham, Wood Village, and other parts of the Portland metropolitan region. Based on the facility's design and previous operations, efforts were made to ensure a degree of accessibility for all members of the community, even at the temporary site.
- Wheelchair accessible entrance: Designed to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges.
- Wheelchair accessible parking lot: Dedicated spaces near the entrance for convenient access.
It is important to reiterate that while the physical location offered accessibility features, the facility itself is currently closed due to the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, and the address now appears to be up for lease. The business model required a membership for access to any fitness programs. While operating, the gym accepted flexible payment options:
- Membership required
- Debit cards accepted
- NFC mobile payments accepted
Services Offered (Previously Available at Temporary Center or Planned for Main Facility)
Based on the services offered at the temporary 'Enrollment Center' and the overall brand's offerings, MUV Fitness was established to be a comprehensive fitness provider, catering to a wide range of fitness disciplines and goals. The following services were either available at the brief, temporary location or were heavily promoted as features of the planned, unbuilt main facility:
- Personal training: Individualized, one-on-one coaching to help members develop customized workout plans, focus on specific goals (like strength or weight loss), and ensure proper form and technique.
- Strength Training: Access to a variety of free weights, weight machines, and functional training equipment for building muscle mass and overall body strength.
- Aerobics: Group exercise classes focused on cardiovascular conditioning, choreographed movement, and full-body workouts.
- Cycling: Dedicated indoor cycling/spin classes designed to provide a high-intensity, low-impact cardio experience.
- Massage Chairs: A recovery amenity providing automated massage functions to aid in muscle relaxation and recovery after a workout.
- Sauna: A heat-based recovery amenity designed to relax muscles, aid in detoxification, and promote overall stress relief (this was typically planned for the main facility's locker rooms).
Features / Highlights (Based on Original Plans and Temporary Operation)
The MUV Fitness brand and the original plans for the Troutdale facility emphasized a robust, modern, and amenity-rich fitness experience. Had the full facility opened, local Oregon users would have had access to numerous highlights that were promoted:
- Planned Full-Service Amenities: The unbuilt main facility was slated to include a full aquatics center (salt water indoor pool), basketball and pickleball courts, spacious locker rooms with steam rooms and a sauna, and an extensive recovery suite with hydromassage and Theragun percussion therapy.
- Comprehensive Group Fitness Programming: The gym was expected to offer a dynamic schedule of popular group classes, including Zumba, Yoga, Cycling, and Bootcamp, creating a vibrant community atmosphere.
- Convenience for Families (Planned): A significant highlight was the plan for an on-site MUV Kids childcare area, which would have provided a much-needed service for parents in the Troutdale area, allowing them to focus on their workouts worry-free.
- Cardio and Strength Equipment: Even the temporary enrollment center provided essential cardio and strength training equipment, and the main facility was promised to feature a vast selection of modern equipment, including a unique Cardio Cinema for entertainment during workouts.
- Focus on Personal Service: The core model included professional personal training and a culture aimed at building a supportive fitness community, helping members move from goal setting to achieving tangible results.
Contact Information
For Oregon residents seeking information regarding the status of the former MUV Fitness Troutdale location, or for those who may have outstanding membership or billing inquiries, the primary contact information associated with the facility is listed below. Please note that due to the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing and the closure of the physical site, communications may be handled by the corporate or legal teams associated with the reorganization, and response times may vary.

What is Worth Choosing
When evaluating MUV Fitness Troutdale, Oregon residents must choose based on the current, factual situation rather than the impressive, yet unfulfilled, original promises. As of the time of this writing, the physical facility at 2469 SW Cherry Park Rd is closed, and the operating entity has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. This means that, locally in Troutdale, there is currently no facility, no group classes, and no immediate services to choose from.
The choice to engage with the MUV brand at this specific location, therefore, hinges on a single, critical factor: the member's willingness to use the other MUV Fitness locations in the greater Portland area (such as Southeast Portland or Beaverton) while their Troutdale membership is held in hiatus. The company is encouraging affected Troutdale members to use these alternative sites. For those living or working closer to these other operating gyms, this might still represent a viable fitness solution with access to the amenities and programs that were originally promised for Troutdale.
However, for the local Troutdale community, the unfulfilled grand opening, the extended delays, and the financial difficulties culminating in the bankruptcy filing have created a climate of uncertainty and distrust. Public reviews clearly indicate issues with billing, false promises, and questionable account practices. Therefore, local users who prioritized the convenience of the Troutdale address should recognize that the facility is currently unavailable. Any choice to pursue a membership should be made with full awareness of the closure, the ongoing legal and financial reorganization process, and the significant negative experiences shared by previous and prospective members in the Oregon community. Individuals are strongly advised to thoroughly review the terms of any membership, cancellation policies, and the current status of the brand's commitment to the Troutdale area before making any financial commitment.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I'm so happy I never got a membership. I almost did. Now years later with false promises to the community and stealing people's money they have now filed chapter 11 and there is now a sign the building is for lease. What scam artists. I'd give them zero stars if I could and I really hope all the people they scammed do a class action lawsuit on them.
June 11 · lisa milesWent to the gym, the temp one was pretty bad, when they added new equipment, it was sticky and ripped and dirty/rusty. Almost has to get a tetanus shot a few times due to it. If a class action gets filed, sign me up! They allowed many minors in and lied about their age on accounts and I assume insurance records too just so they could get more money. I was 14 or 15 when I signed up, they put my age as 20 something. If anyone can prove these are on the insurance records, please bust them for anything, including insurance fraud if possible.
June 22 · StarrHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEI was a member here for over 2 years. I actually really enjoy the gym itself. the trainers were good. and the general manager Jesse was a good guy. But the corporate culture does not care about you and acts like a shady subscription service. They will sneak in charges or allow things to persist even after you cancel them and continue to charge you. Then it’s your fault and rather then simply make good on it to try to keep you as a customer, they will say they can’t fix the issue and be fine with you leaving. you will feel like just another number.I happily did tribe for a year. I knew I was going away for most the winter so I had my wife cancel it for me. they said it had tobe in person and that a spouse can do this. She cancels and apparently a new employee makes a mistake and just freezes it for one month. Funny enough, they still charge me for that month! But what’s worse is since I think I’ve done what I needed I don’t realize I’ve been continued to be charge for another 3 months. 200 dollars later, I realize my membership is way over charging me. no worries right? they can see I haven’t signed in for over 3 months. with any company, I’m sure it will be as easy as pointing out the mistake and they’ll value having good customer service and just reimburse me for the mistake that is obviously not on my end. i mean, it’s only 200 bucks, which is nothing for a company right? especially when they will make more each year by keeping me as a happy customer. wrong. they first tell me to email them the full situation and I do and they tell me they won’t be able to make it right. then I call corporate and get the run around with several phone calls. then im told corporate can’t handle things in Portland and I have to talk to a local manager. then I go back to them and in the end am basically told to go screw myself. apparently the issue is someone at the very top, or a soulless corporate owner who is just this petty. I’ve heard similar issues have happened several other times.this is so beyond petty. I’ve never been so frustrated with a gym or any company for that matter. 200 dollars is noticeable for me, but it’s not just that. it’s more that the gym made a mistake and then decided to go with. a choice that feels like scamming me instead of just keeping a customer happy. And that they even noticed (multiple managers) that I was charged for an unused service, and just gave me the bs that there is nothing anyone can do about it.I keep getting told someone will call me or email me and make this right for weeks now. no one does. I didnt like that they never fix their sauans and take forever to get to down equipment but I can deal with that. however I will warn people who already go there and others to avoid this place until they show any effort to make this right.
February 27 · PAINTBALL PASSPORTTroutdale big Muv site is never open. It seems like they either changed their business plans or something didn’t work out for them. Pretty disappointing.
August 31 · MohaymenMuv Fitness has easily earned the award for the worst gym in the PNW! They scammed the local community for 3 year promising to open a gym in the old Safeway building in Troutdale. They should refund all the money they stole and close down all other locations as they obviously can not do honest business. Taking the easy way out and filing for bankruptcy...
