★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have been taking Steph Snyder classes for like 20ish years (is that possible? ). I love the dharma talks, the structured pace and flow, the kirtan and her command of a room. Her human side is incredible.I changed things up a bit and took a Roy Gan class today (subbing for Steph) and loved it. I took Roy’s classes long ago at yoga garden. I appreciate Roy’s enthusiasm, whimsy, care for students, and inspiring way to find yourself doing challenging things. Excited to see Roy at Love Story!
April 20 · Mara SohnPros: 1. The instructor, Betsy, played the accordion at the beginning and the end of the class and her voice is really nice. 2. There are plenty of showers stalls available. But make sure to bring your own towels.Cons: 1) The class did not start or end on time. 2) The sequencing and cues can use a lot of work. The sequencing felt choppy and repetitive. I lost count of how many down dogs and push ups she made us do where there could have been so many other poses we can try! 3) The playlist had a weird mix of classical+ pop music. Some of the music was also distracting for the class - instructor played concert music with lyrics that even included clapping in the sound track. 4) lots of class time spent on chanting without explaining what the chants even mean.
March 30 · Gloria WangI attended Lovestory for 2 weeks during a yoga teacher training with Jason Crandell and I really love the area as well as the owner Laurel who takes great care of the place. The regular classes have good mix of challenging power Vinyasa and more gentle flowing Bhakti styles and the teachers are renowned for being the best in SF. Would definitely recommend 🙏
March 04 · Sydney MartinieMy absolute favorite studio in San Francisco. Beautiful clean studio, friendly staff, who always remember my name. I love that they have showers, yummy products to use for free and hair dryers. The classes are amazing always the best teachers. Stephanie is my favorite of course, her mix of flow and stories I always leave feeling stronger, refreshed and inspired.
October 11 · Simone FarschiI LOVE Anthony’s Rocco’s classes at the Valencia location of Love Story! He is really great at discussing the fundamentals of the movements and why each is done, which helps me not only with my technique but also what I get out of the individual poses/flows! The classes are also unique in that you can ask questions during the explanations to clarify anything you’re confused on. Anthony also has so much expertise from such a variety of teachers and schools of thought, which makes him an invaluable resource. He also takes time to learn everyone’s name, check in with them, and even introduce them to each other. This perspective makes the class feel genuinely like a community, which is a rare experience. I highly recommend his classes, he’s truly one of the best teachers I’ve ever had!
