It has been described as a place where convenience meets luxury, transforming the fitness experience from a chore into a lifestyle. The club's extensive offerings are meticulously designed to appeal to individuals, couples, and entire families, aiming to provide a single destination for all their health and leisure needs. The expansive, well-lit spaces and high-end equipment immediately set it apart from typical fitness centers, creating an environment that feels more like a resort than a gym. The business has a clear mission to provide an all-encompassing healthy living experience, integrating workout floors, classes, and sports with recovery areas, a cafe, and even workspaces. This multi-faceted approach aims to be the only membership you'll ever need, covering everything from intense workouts to quiet moments of relaxation. The sheer size and scope of the facility allow it to offer a diversity of programs and amenities that are hard to find elsewhere in the local market, making it a truly unique proposition for those seeking a premium fitness destination.
The club has made a significant investment to establish a top-tier facility, and its aesthetic appeal is a major highlight. The overall design and ambiance create a sense of sophistication and comfort that many members appreciate. However, being a new or recently renovated facility, as some reviews suggest, it may have some initial challenges to address, such as non-working equipment or a need for better communication from the staff. Despite these potential growing pains, the core value of Life Time remains in its impressive array of offerings and the sheer quality of the physical space. The club's expansive workout floor is equipped with a vast selection of cardio machines, resistance training equipment, and free weights, ensuring that members have access to everything they need for a complete workout. In addition to the gym floor, the club features dedicated studios for a wide variety of classes, catering to different fitness interests and levels. The commitment to a "healthy way of life" is evident in every detail, from the selection of equipment to the design of the common areas, which are intended to be both functional and inviting. The concept of an "athletic country club" is a defining feature, signifying that this is a place where fitness is integrated with leisure, social activities, and personal well-being, all under one roof. The facility is a destination in itself, encouraging members to spend more time there and engage with the community.
The location of Life Time at 8 Concourse Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30328, is a significant advantage for members. Situated between the iconic King & Queen towers, the club is conveniently positioned within the bustling Perimeter Center business district. This strategic placement makes it easily accessible for professionals working in the area, as well as for families residing in the nearby communities of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. The proximity to major highways, including Interstate 285 and Georgia 400, ensures that members can get to and from the club with relative ease, a key factor for those with busy schedules. The club's address places it in a prime location for serving a high-demand market, and its accessibility is a major selling point. The facility is integrated into a larger commercial area, meaning members have access to various services and establishments in the vicinity. The gym's design and location are aimed at catering to a diverse clientele, from high-level executives to active families. This blend of accessibility and a high-end experience solidifies its position as a leading fitness and wellness destination in the Atlanta metro area. When considering a gym membership in the Atlanta area, particularly one with a higher price point, the decision to choose Life Time often comes down to the value of its all-encompassing "athletic country club" model. For many, the cost is justified by the wide array of premium amenities that go far beyond a simple gym. This includes multiple swimming pools, a variety of racquet sports courts, luxurious recovery spaces, and a cafe. It’s a membership that can serve the entire family and support a complete lifestyle, from working out to unwinding and even spending time with children at the Kids Academy. For those who can make full use of the facilities and prefer a luxurious, all-in-one destination, the membership can be seen as a worthwhile investment. It’s a place where one can swim laps, play a game of tennis, take a hot yoga class, and then recover in a sauna, all in one visit. This integrated approach is a significant benefit that distinguishes it from more basic fitness centers. While a new facility might face initial operational challenges, as some reviews suggest with issues like equipment or hot water, the underlying quality of the space and the breadth of services remain the primary draw. The positive feedback about the "great location" and "lots of equipment" underscores the core strengths of the club. For the Atlanta resident looking for a comprehensive, upscale wellness experience that serves as a one-stop-shop for fitness, recreation, and community, Life Time presents a compelling and unique choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Cons - coed sauna/steam room/cold plunge/hot tub was a bad idea. It’s way too crowded in there and women don’t feel comfortable. Infrared saunas already out of order not even a week in. Tennis courts need work. No benches, scorecards or trash cans on the courts. Outdoor pool is mainly a lap pool. The leisure space is tiny.Pros- location is great, lots of equipment, lobby is nice with work space areas, squash courts look nice. Indoor track upstairs is cool. They need to fix these things to justify the $280 membership.
August 20 · Vinnie VWhile the aesthetics are great, for a new facility that has been opened for just a few weeks there is a lot that doesn't work. For example, the infrared saunas have not worked. In the men's locker room a stall has been out of order for over a week, leaving 2 available, also in the men's room there is no hot water in the sinks. Shaving with cold water is not fun. I find the front desk uncaring. For example, when I notified the front desk about the lack of hot water for a second time in a week, I was told I need to talk with operations. When I asked how does one get in touch with operations, I was told they are walking around. I don't even know what that means. For an upscale club there appears to be a lack of consideration from the staff other than the fitness trainers looking to sell various programs. Like others have mentioned, the coed steam and whirlpool area is problematic. My wife has said she feels uncomfortable. I get the sense that Lifetime thinks they are doing me a favor by allowing me to be a member. I would stay away until the management is able to get things fixed and the staff is better trained. The facility itself, however, is really very nice.
August 27 · Matthew BernsteinThe new Perimeter facility is beautiful and first class. The co-ed sauna, whirlpool, steam space to me is perfectly fine and feels like you are in a 5 star resort. The bar restaurant is fantastic, pool area is lovely. If you are a treadmill or stairmaster fan, they have an abundance of equipment - 50 treadmills and 20 stairmasters. Most disappointing to me is that they do not have some of the other popular cardio equipment - no Cybex Arc Trainers - available at every other Lifetime I've been too - and a low selection of Elliptical equipment, maybe 5 or 6. The True brand of Ellipticals are not calibrated correctly - they say that I'm burning like 1000 calories every 20 minutes. Not correct. I'm not sure why they purchased so many treadmills and stairmasters but don't have some of the variety of other cardio equipment, esp the Cybex Arc Trainers. I am finding myself traversing back and forth b/w the Sandy Springs location when I'd rather be full time here.
September 09 · Matthew HalkosMy family and I recently moved from the Alpharetta location to the Perimeter area, and I have to say—this place is beautiful. The staff is outstanding. The two gentlemen at the front desk were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in our well-being.We accidentally ended up in a different class than planned. Instead of yoga, we were recommended to try dynamic stretching with Emari—and I’m so glad we did. It was the best stretch experience I’ve ever had. Not only did it relieve my stress, but Emari provided valuable education about my health and a clear game plan moving forward. Honestly, it was even more effective than any chiropractor visit I’ve ever had.I’ve struggled with lower back pain for nearly 20 years, and this session made a huge difference. This place is worth every dime—it’s truly unlike anywhere else I’ve ever experienced.
September 11 · tbnewhomesIn my opinion the Sandy Springs location is much nicer and larger than the new Perimeter location (formerly Concourse). The SS pool area is like a luxury resort hotel versus the 'corporate vibe' of the much smaller and uninviting Perimeter pool 'deck'. I just joined SS for $219 per month (no joining fee) whereas Perimeter are asking $279 per month AND $200 fee to join. I guess they're going after the Equinox image , and good luck to them. I'm not paying more for less!
