For individuals and families in the Fort Washington area, choosing a gym is a significant decision, and Life Time's unique blend of services and amenities makes it a compelling option. The value of the club, however, is a topic of some debate among members, as shown in the provided reviews. One long-time member highlights the immense value, stating that the "club is immaculate" and that the staff is "super friendly." This member, who uses the club to stay in "peak condition," praises the facility's offerings, from the cardio equipment to the weights, and especially enjoys the dry sauna and complimentary towel service. This perspective showcases the gym as a premium, worthwhile investment for those who utilize its full range of amenities and appreciate the clean, upscale environment.
Conversely, another long-term member expresses significant frustration, noting that what was once a "really awesome gym" has become a "complete dump" after renovations. This review critiques the new floor plan, which is described as "a literal disaster show," with equipment cramped together. The review also points to a perceived decline in staff engagement, a lack of enforcement of rules, and a significant increase in membership fees, which they feel no longer provides a positive return on investment. The review highlights how the club, in their opinion, has turned into an "overpriced LA Fitness." This perspective points to potential challenges with maintaining a high-end experience, particularly regarding member costs and facility management.
Despite these differing viewpoints, what is consistently clear from both reviews is that Life Time aims to be a top-tier health club, not a basic gym. The club's appeal lies in its expansive offerings, from dedicated studios for yoga and Pilates to extensive kids' programs and pools. For those who value a clean, comprehensive facility with a resort-like feel and are willing to pay a premium for that experience, the "immaculate" environment and professional amenities are a significant draw. The fact that one member has been a devoted patron for three years and another for five years shows that for many, the initial appeal and comprehensive services hold a strong, lasting value. For someone in Pennsylvania who is looking for more than just a place to lift weights—a true lifestyle club for the whole family—Life Time in Fort Washington is a destination that promises a high-end experience, even if experiences with changes and costs can vary.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1LIFETIME Fort Washington is one of my daily stops throughout the week. I have been a member for almost three years.Their staff is super friendly, and the club is immaculate! There is no other gym that compares to what LIFETIME offers in the area! I utilize their cardio equipment and weights to keep my body in peak condition to climb and inspect roofs for my North Star Roofing clients on a daily basis. They have great hours, and there is nothing better than finishing a long day in their dry sauna before a shower with complementary towel service. It truly is an incredible experience, and I am beyond thankful this brand expanded into Southeastern Pennsylvania when they did. Always an A+ experience!
April 09 · Eric ArditiWhat once was a really awesome gym has turned into nothing more than a complete dump. The renovations that were recently done have totally destroyed what once was a pretty cool facility that at the time I joined was worth the cost. Well five years down the line what once was a fairly reasonable fee for an upscale club has now turned into a greedy, corporate facility with no positive returns on your investment. The staff which when I started going was friendly and actually seemed like they cared about their job, now they can't be bothered and rules that are posted aren't even enforced at all. It seems like every time I go, which by the way is around 9 pm, when the day care closes instead of leaving with their kids people merely bring them up to the gym floor to run all over the place and playing on the equipment with little to no supervision while the staff walks by and does nothing. They literally walk around like they don't give a care about anything there. As for the renovations they talk about, while they did do just that whoever came up with the floor plan is obviously bad at their job. What once was a huge sprawling, spacious floor plan with plenty of equipment but yet still had room to move has turned into a literal disaster show. With the "revamped" floor plan the machines are now so tight that you can't walk around or use a piece of equipment without someone bumping into you. Apparently whoever came up with this redesign never heard of the phrase if it isn't broke don't fix it because instead of improving upon what was both a functional and sensible floor plan decided that it's more important to cram ten pounds of stuff into a five pound bag leaving people tripping over each other. The worst part is there's still plenty of room to space everything out if the club actually hired someone with some common sense when it came to a floor plan. With regards to cost of the club, when I began it was around $100/per month, now it's costing $160/month for a club that's supposed to be "upscale" when in reality it's nothing more than an overpriced LA Fitness with what appears to be a club run by little to no management whatsoever. They'll tell you the amenities you get and give you the line on the renovations that they've done to the club but it's all a facade. Once you sign up be prepared to get little to no bang for your buck once you begin using it because not only will they constantly jack the price up on what feels like every six months to a yearly basis but that's all you get it is stuck paying more. It may seem like a great club at first but after a month or so you'll start to see the cracks in the foundation and how much you're getting a terrible gym experience for the cost you'll be paying them. What once was a great clientele has somehow morphed into one where there is now literally a sign out front on what's prohibited in the club and both alcoholic beverages and pets are among the things listed, not service pets mind you, people just seem to feel entitled that paying what they pay they don't have to give a care about anybody else. My fiancee, who recently canceled her membership for Planet Fitness of all things because she felt that's a better gym experience than this club once had a woman bring a little dog into the women's locker room that she carried in a bag. It clearly wasn't a service pet but yet was allowed entry with it.Like I said in the beginning, I've been a member for about five years now. While they were doing the renovations I started going more frequently to another club I also belong to. Since they've been completed I've gone a few times and it just seems like it gets worse and further down the toilet. If you're looking for an upscale club with an atmosphere that represents that this isn't it. I myself am only going until I find a better place. Up until two years ago I would've given this place a five star rating, now I'd give it zero if I could.
July 18 · Robert DonachieHad an amazing time at Lifetime today. I would definitely recommend. The ambiance, amenities and services are astounding and amazing. Indoor and outdoor pool, spa, cafe, sauna, etc.
July 25 · Maisha RichardsonNice place. Visited so many LT all over the states, this one is really clean, friendly and newer one. But food I ordered was not that fresh at all. Greens, tomatoes and cucumbers were old. Unfortunately had to throw away. LT cafe wouldn’t recommend
November 29 · Anna HolubovskaHi, the front desk must be one of the biggest households I’ve ever met. Ask about 5000 questions even after you show me your membership card and I have the right to invite a friend a six-year-old he wants ID just to make sure he’s not under the age. Is he serious?
