★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Please fix your treadmill and workout machines !!! I am sick and tired of guessing which ones are working since no one labels them out of order. There’s also an issue with a few of them has missing paddings, I guess I have to suck it and use it without?! See pics below…Regardless I still go to this place … let’s hope they can turn this place around!
June 06 · Vlog GaloreTypically crowded. But that's expected. Pool is closed, men's sauna works sometimes and the Basketball gym is permanently closed, was told there's a huge bubble in the floor..Lolol whatever that means. No one puts their weights back, free weights are scattered across the gym, be cautious of the many tripping hazards. Lots of broken equipment . Staff seem friendly but spend a lot of time sitting around instead of taking pride in their work place. In short, expensive rates for less than a mediocre gym.
September 07 · Jonathan SolisI cannot in good faith recommend this gym to anyone unless they are willing to pay more for less. I had been attending this particular location for a few years now and met really hard working men and women. I was always meeting someone new and learning about new techniques from old and young. What made this location appealing was the high ceiling, variety of equipment and the wealth of knowledge that serious gym goers offered. As good as the positive elements were for this location, a few key negatives that have been unaddressed have taken a toll on this location. First and foremost is maintenance and broken equipment. I cannot begin to tell you how many times equipment has been broken and left for weeks on end with no improvements made. Cables snapped, handles split, benches falling apart, machines not operating and ellipticals grinding. To make matters worse, some creative clients would try to improvise a fix that would only make the equipment more dangerous and leave it open to an unsuspecting person who didn’t know, prone to injury. The second is clientele. Like any good business, it requires a steady stream of new clients. It also helps to have clients that care and are invested in maintaining the facilities that we all use. It’s become habit for people to leave trash and equipment strewn across the facilities. A common habit was leaning barbell plates against a machine or in a walkway. A few times, the weights gave out and hurt someone who wasn’t paying attention. One could spend minutes traversing the gym looking for a dumbbell before they found it elsewhere. It was also common to find the locker room and bathrooms with trash and all kinds of human biological matter in just about every of the places.Last and foremost is actually the staff and corporate policies. Before I left, a manager expressed that it was not their job to maintain to maintain the facilities and given that it was public gym, the behavior explained above was expected and tolerated. Added to that, the locker rooms have been broken into a number of times with no report filed and nothing done to address the issue at hand. I simply did not understand why I was paying a monthly fee and yearly fee to tolerate the above premises. I wish I had paid attention when good staff members that gave a damn would leave within a month or two of being at this location.Since then, I’ve only heard that the conditions have gotten worse and young clients have began trashing equipment and fronting off other clients with expletives. One elderly client was forced to leave after he bravely confronted this behavior. The parents complained and corporate took an action that only rewarded the behavior that this gym is currently promoting. More equipment has gone missing or broken and conditions have not improved. This location will require: proper funding, a staff that cares enough to do their job and a willingness to uphold gym policies that are fair to everyone. Until these changes are made, this location is going to continue hemorrhaging good clients that will take their time, money and knowledge elsewhere.
April 25 · Raymond GarciaI’m disappointed that the pool has been closed with no clear update on when it will reopen. I mainly pay for my membership to use the pool, so not having access to it is very frustrating. The only thing I really like is that it's open 24 hours, but even then, I still can’t use the pool. If the closure is going to last a while, members should be properly informed and maybe even offered a discount or some kind of compensation. I hope XSport or LA Fitness—whatever it is—improves communication and resolves this issue soon.
June 21 · Iwona BrzezinskaThis gym has sometimes the most incompetent staff, Aside from this experience the front desk is very unapproachable, and they lack good customer service, as well as professionalism.I understand we’re all juggling a lot these days, but I checked in around 8 something, no one told me the gym was closing in an hour…….Until a very tall gentleman by the name of Daniel said something to me in a very unpleasant manner.I understand dealing with the general public can be difficult, but speaking to people in a dry, and rude demeanor says a lot about this establishment in general. If the staff is unhappy like that it looks like a bunch of bad apples not wanting to do their job, and treating people who just come in to do physical exercise like shit.Or the higher ups are burning these people out, and are very weak leaders in their field.Either way L.A fitness do better, sometimes changes comes best by getting rid of people who don’t want to be there in the first place.
