LA Fitness Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For active Californians in the Long Beach area, finding a gym that meets diverse fitness needs is essential. LA Fitness, particularly its Long Beach/Bellflower location, presents itself as a comprehensive 'sports club' designed to accommodate everything from strength training and cardio to aquatics and group exercise. Situated in the 90815 ZIP code, this facility is more than just a room full of machines; it’s a full-service destination intended to support a holistic health and wellness lifestyle.
The fundamental value proposition of this LA Fitness location is its expansive array of amenities and services, which cater to various interests and fitness levels. The facility is equipped to handle traditional fitness routines—such as Weight Lifting and Resistance Training—while also providing specialized classes like Pilates and Yoga. The inclusion of premium amenities such as a Junior Olympic size swimming pool, a full basketball court, and a sauna elevates the gym experience beyond the standard and into a recreational or 'resort-like' atmosphere.
As a major national chain, LA Fitness offers the assurance of a large-scale operation with extensive resources. However, potential members are advised to conduct their own thorough evaluation. While the advertised amenities are compelling, the quality of maintenance, staff engagement, and personal training program execution are highly relevant to the member experience, as noted in user feedback. Ultimately, this Long Beach LA Fitness aims to be the accessible, all-inclusive fitness hub for the local community, provided it aligns with the user's expectations for service and facility upkeep.

Features / Highlights
The extensive amenities available at the Long Beach/Bellflower LA Fitness are one of its biggest draws, offering premium options often associated with higher-tier clubs. These features are highly desirable for Southern California users who seek maximum value and a full wellness experience.
- Junior Olympic Size Swimming Pool: A multi-lane indoor pool, ideal for lap swimming, casual use, and organized Aqua Fit classes.
- Sauna: A dedicated offering for muscle relaxation, post-workout recovery, and general detoxification.
- Full Basketball Court: A court available for league play, pickup games, and recreational activity, appealing to members interested in team sports and high-intensity cardio.

- Extensive Operating Hours: The club typically features long operating hours during the week (Mon-Thurs, 5:00am - 11:00pm; Fri, 5:00am - 10:00pm) and weekend hours (Sat-Sun, 8:00am - 8:00pm), accommodating various schedules.
What is worth choosing
The LA Fitness Long Beach/Bellflower location is worth choosing primarily for the sheer quantity and variety of its offerings. For the local California user, the membership represents a high-value package, encompassing not just gym floor access, but a full aquatic center (pool and sauna) and a sports center (basketball court)—all under one roof. This integration allows a member to perform weight training, take a high-intensity cycle class, and then recover in the sauna or with a few laps in the pool without leaving the facility or paying separate fees. The availability of diverse, scheduled group classes like Yoga, Pilates, and Cycle Zone is a huge time-saver and motivational booster.
However, it is vital to approach the membership with full awareness. While the amenities are robust, the user reviews highlight critical issues concerning facility cleanliness, maintenance (e.g., broken machines), and staff professionalism, particularly within the personal training department. These reports of poor staff engagement, questionable training practices, and billing/refund complications are serious considerations that prospective members must weigh against the club’s extensive physical features.
In conclusion, if the core value sought is maximum fitness and recreational amenities at a single, convenient location in Long Beach, the LA Fitness Bellflower club provides an undeniable density of features. Users who choose this location should be prepared to be proactive about their customer service needs and conduct a thorough tour to assess the current state of cleanliness and equipment functionality before committing to a membership or personal training contract.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been to multiple gyms, but my experience at this LA Fitness location was by far the most disappointing. First off, the staff seems completely disinterested. Most of the time, they’re either chatting among themselves or glued to their phones. When I asked for help with equipment or had questions about my membership, I got vague, unhelpful answers and a general attitude like I was bothering them.As for cleanliness—it’s honestly unacceptable. The locker rooms smell bad, the floors are constantly dirty, and the showers are worse than a gas station bathroom. Equipment is often left sweaty and rarely wiped down. I’ve seen overflowing trash cans, dirty towels left around, and broken machines that stay out of order for weeks.M
July 31 · Eric Chung (Ecness2)I signed up for LA Fitness personal training and was told the first four sessions were free and I had five business days to cancel with no penalty. During my very first 30-minute session with trainer Nikolai, I told him I hadn’t squatted in about a year. While using a type of squat machine, I told him I felt like I couldn’t physically continue because he was having me bottom out; something that should not have been done, especially since I was no longer squatting in general and he never tested my range of motion. He insisted I keep going, which caused a lower back strain. In addition, I did not receive the promised logging/tracker book or my personal macronutrient recommendations during this first program session. I only had my body measurements taken, and I didn’t even receive those myself because Ernesto said he had to write them elsewhere at the time since I was not given the book.I informed Ernesto (training program manager) later, the same day that I wanted to cancel. He did not respond, and when I followed up the next day, he told me he would cancel it on Monday, August 4, but did not. On Tuesday, August 5, I spoke with Daniel, who told me Ernesto was canceling “right then” but also tried to tell me I would still be charged for the remaining two months. I had to explain that I was in my 5-day cancellation window. On August 6, Janice (manager) confirmed in writing that my full $293 refund was processed. On August 7, only $232 was returned. On August 8, Janice went back on her word, claimed it was prorated, and still showed no acknowledgment of the injury or poor handling of my case, despite me pointing it out multiple times. No one involved; Ernesto, Daniel, Janice, or Nikolai, ever expressed concern for my injury or took responsibility for the situation. This is not how a fitness facility should treat members who trusted them with their health. With that state, it’s clear they don’t care about their clients but view clients as numbers.
August 08 · Miranda GomezThis place is always dirty. I don’t think they ever clean the stretching area mats. The staff is rude and most of them are just staring at the computer or phone screen when you walk in. The bathrooms seem to always be dirty and no one cares. The weights are everywhere or missing. I'm not wasting money here
July 31 · Jamie FuentesThis gym has way too many people using too few machines with NO rules of etiquette posted. In fact, I was told that anyone can stay at a machine or weights as long as they want...doing emails, talking, whatever. These rude people leave towels or clothes on machines to come back after they go to another machine.Be prepared for long waits, frustration, ill manners, bullying, etc. Staff is no help.!LA Fitness claims a policy of no bags on the floor...a lie. It is not enforced and dangerous.Corporate is no help. This club is a ripoff...they take your $$ but don't deliver quality. Take your business elsewhere.! Investors beware.
October 09 · Diana LNote to managers:The locker rooms need better cleaning. The shower tiles haven’t been cleaned in weeks. The shower curtains need to be changed if there’s mildew.Otherwise this club is nice on the floor.
