The atmosphere is consistently described as being "obsessed with the energy, community, and vibes," setting it apart from other fitness options in the city.
Industrial Barre + Ride is founded on the philosophy of helping clients repurpose the mind and body they have through authentic fitness, focusing on both high-quality cardio and precise muscle-building. Whether you are a seasoned athlete aiming to track your metrics for peak performance or simply someone who loves the exhilarating rhythm of a group class, this center is designed to support your routine with unparalleled detail and warmth.

The studio is conveniently situated at 1911 NE Broadway, Portland, OR 97232, USA. This prominent location is easy to find, positioned along a major artery in NE Portland's Irvington area, ensuring a smooth transit for those commuting from work or home.
Commitment to Accessibility:
Accessibility is a core priority for this business. The center ensures that it is welcoming to all members of the Oregon community, featuring both a Wheelchair Accessible Entrance and a designated Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot. This attention to detail ensures that the transformative power of their barre and ride classes is available to everyone, regardless of mobility needs. Services Offered: Specialized Group Fitness
The studio specializes in two highly effective group fitness modalities, offered both in-person and conveniently online.
- Industrial Ride (Indoor Cycling): High-energy, 45-minute indoor cycling classes that feature authentic, high-quality Schwinn bikes. The classes focus on cardio, rhythm, and strength, utilizing the studio’s unique technology to enhance the workout.
- Industrial Barre™: The signature total body 60-minute barre workout. This class is designed to strengthen and then stretch muscles for improved blood flow and longevity, focusing on low-impact isometric movements inspired by ballet, yoga, and Pilates. No prior dance experience is required, making it ideal for beginners to pros. Specific barre offerings may include "I Barre 45" or "STEEL BARRE" focusing on different intensities or durations.
- Live Stream and On-Demand Classes: For maximum flexibility, the studio provides extensive Online Classes, including live stream and on-demand options for both barre and ride classes. This allows Oregon users to maintain their routine from the comfort of their home or while traveling.
- Studio and Onsite Services: The primary offering remains the premium Onsite Services at the 1911 NE Broadway location, leveraging the studio's excellent equipment and community energy.
Features and Highlights: Why Portlanders Love Industrial
The studio has cultivated a loyal following in Portland by meticulously focusing on details that enhance the member experience, both physical and emotional.
- Cutting-Edge Performance Tracking: A major highlight is the use of the Spivi Metrics Feature. This system is projected onto a screen during the ride, providing a visible gauge of effort and performance. Critically, it allows users to track their individual statistics and "compete against myself," with metrics tailored so that individual performance is meaningful without unfair comparison to others. This data can also be uploaded to personal fitness watches for comprehensive routine tracking.
- Superior Bike Quality: The studio invests in Schwinn Bikes of Great Quality, ensuring a smooth, reliable, and effective cycling experience that is noted by experienced riders.
- Inclusivity and Safety: The studio is explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly and identified as a Transgender Safespace, creating a truly diverse and welcoming crowd of "folks of all walks of life and ages." It actively promotes a community that is more welcoming than many other spin studios in the area.
- Women-Owned and Authentic Instruction: As a Women-Owned business, the studio prides itself on authentic instruction. Teachers are "kind and know your name," and the music is a key feature—each teacher brings their own authentic and great vibe, played at a volume that is engaging yet practical.
- Optimal Studio Environment: The lighting is described as "fun but practical," avoiding the extreme darkness of some studios. The entire facility feels consistently clean, reflecting a commitment to a high-quality, professional environment.

What is Worth Choosing at Industrial Barre + Ride
For residents of Oregon, especially those near Portland, choosing Industrial Barre + Ride means investing in a fitness center that prioritizes community, technology, and inclusion above all else. It is worth choosing for three primary, compelling reasons.
First, The Community Difference: This studio has successfully cultivated a community that is more supportive and welcoming than many competitors. Customer reviews consistently praise the "energy" and sense of belonging, making it an excellent choice if you’re seeking a "third-place" where instructors know your name and familiar, friendly faces motivate your routine. For members of the LGBTQ+ community or those seeking a genuinely safe and inclusive space, the stated commitment as a Transgender Safespace and LGBTQ+ friendly environment is an unparalleled asset.
Second, Performance-Driven Metrics: The integration of the Spivi metrics system is a significant draw for the performance-minded Oregon athlete. It provides real-time, personalized, and objective feedback on your effort, allowing you to effectively pace your week, track your growth, and "see real growth." This technology transforms a high-energy spin class into a measurable and accountable part of your training regimen, a feature not commonly offered with this level of detail.
Third, High-Quality, Hybrid Fitness: You do not have to choose between intense cardio and sculpting strength. The availability of both top-tier Indoor Cycling (on quality Schwinn bikes) and the signature low-impact Barre program means you have a complete weekly fitness program under one roof—or accessible via online classes. The studio is noted for helping patrons get "so strong," making it the ideal hybrid option for a full-body, high-quality workout experience in NE Portland.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Industrial rocks— the ideal high-quality space to spin, see familiar faces, and track metrics to see real growth. It’s an option for people who are athletes as much as it is for folks who just love to spin! I’ve tried the other spin spots in town and didn’t realize how much these details support my routine: Industrial teachers are kind and know your name, their music is great (each teacher has their own vibe, it’s authentic! and good volume!), the lighting is fun but practical (not complete darkness, not a rave), the Schwinn bikes are of great quality, everything feels clean, and there are a lot of regulars! I love the Spivi metrics feature— I can upload my ride to my fitness watch and compete against myself (everyone’s stats are tailored so you can’t really compare), and I have a visible gauge on the screen throughout class of how hard I’m working. This helps me pace my other activities through the week that are solo/less community-based. I’ve enjoyed growing this as a “third-place” during my week!
April 23 · Rogan MotisI'm obsessed with the energy, community, vibes, classes. I'm getting so strong. Folks of all walks of life and ages in each class. So much more community and welcoming than any other spin studio I've ever been to.
September 19 · Nikki AdamsonI am grateful to Steve for hosting weekly masked barre classes for immunocompromised folks. Steve makes the class fun, welcoming and beginner friendly (but still very challenging). Highly recommend this class and studio!
April 13 · Chelsea SweithelmOnce again I want to thank you for the excellence and great vibes of this club! Every time I visit Portland I choose Industrial Barre +Cycle.I loved Steve’s cycling class . He shows expertise and pushes us hard ! Amazing !!I also want to thank Sunny for her excellent barre class . Barre is one of the most effective and challenging classes for me . Sunny models every single exercise. She walks around monitoring every single client and gives other alternatives . She is very encouraging and the whole group gets involved with enthusiasm. Keep up with the good standards !⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
May 19 · Andrea StautzI started going to Industrial Barre in February of 2019. I expected to go to a few classes a month, but I liked the challenge and the instructors so much so that I almost immediately signed up for monthly unlimited classes. For the first time in my 35 years of life, I started to consistently work out 5 times a week, a mix of barre & spin, and I enjoyed it. 3 1/2 years later, I am still taking 5 classes a week and still enjoying it. The classes can be challenging, but are doable for all fitness levels. The instructors are incredibly mindful; they push you when they feel like you can handle it, but they also respect when, for whatever reason, you need to take break or need an exercise modification. I highly recommend! Steve & Aileen are the best.
