When considering a new fitness center, it's essential to weigh the benefits against the cost and your specific needs. Healthworks Coolidge Corner is a worthwhile choice for several key reasons. As one member review noted, while the cost may be a downside for some, it is to be expected in a metropolitan area like Boston, and the value it provides often justifies the expense. For those who prioritize a clean, well-maintained space with a wide variety of equipment and classes, Healthworks is an excellent option. The gym's targeted focus on women's fitness creates a safe and comfortable environment that many find liberating and empowering. The availability of amenities like the sauna and on-site massage services adds a layer of luxury and recovery that many other gyms lack. While the absence of on-site childcare might be a drawback for mothers, as one review pointed out, the gym’s other offerings and its core mission of supporting women’s health make it a strong contender for a wide range of women. The opportunity to use multiple locations, such as the one in Back Bay, with a flex membership, also adds significant value for those who might travel between different parts of the city. Ultimately, Healthworks Coolidge Corner offers a high-quality, specialized fitness experience that caters to a specific demographic with great success, making it a valuable addition to the Massachusetts fitness landscape.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m coming up on a year here at this gym so I thought it’s time to give my honest review. I’m a 20 year old college student for reference and I was looking for a gym with a sauna, steam room, showers, punching bags, and spin/cardio equipment. This gym marked all my boxes. I did the tours of both this location and the back bay location. I ended liking both so I did the flex membership to be able to use both locations. Will say the Back bay location has more equipment however it is a bigger space compared to the Coolidge location. The locker rooms are great, it’s always clean no matter what time of the day. The other members are nice and courteous. Everyone always wipes down their machines after each use which is great. It’s also never too busy. I’ve rarely had to wait for a machine. They have enough equipment to hit legs, back, and arms. The only down side for me is cost however that has to be expected when in Boston. I would warn everyone to read each of the membership options carefully as well as the freeze and cancellation policy for each membership as it varies. Can’t wait to come back this school year!
August 07 · Dain HewlettI was really excited to join Healthworks because it’s marketed as a gym created specifically for women. While the facilities are nice, I was very surprised and disappointed to find that it lacks one of the most basic and important services for women: on-site childcare/daycare.For many of us who are mothers, being able to balance fitness with childcare is essential. A women-focused gym should understand this need and provide at least some form of supervised childcare to make workouts more accessible. Without this, it feels like the gym is overlooking a core part of what many women truly need to make wellness possible.Until Healthworks addresses this gap, it doesn’t really live up to its mission of supporting women’s health in a practical, holistic way.
August 24 · Monica FerrerI could not have more good things to say about this place! Very nice, clean facility with friendly staff. I especially appreciate that they do a survey once or twice a year. Someone actually responded to the points I made in the open response section, and I felt very heard. I've recently had to cancel my membership (as I'm moving), and the cancellation process was also very smooth ... they didn't make me jump through hoops, get on a call, etc. If there's one complaint I have, it's that they don't have enough locations! I hope they start some new ones across the greater Boston area!
May 13 · Neha PatkiI love the CC location because the workout spaces on the 2nd floor are spacious, well-kept, and updated. I also like the general environment due to other gym goers being friendly and conscientious about sharing machines. My only (small) want is for more things in the locker room like hairspray, spray deodorant, hair ties etc. I’ve been to other gyms that offer these kinds of things, and it was really helpful when getting ready.
December 08 · Andi RemoquilloClean gym, but would love more upgrades. Even Gymit has a smith machine and their fee is a fraction of what I pay for HW. Could also use more upper body machines as well. I will say I love their classes, I wish they offered more during the day.
