What is Worth Choosing
Choosing Gymnastics East as your family’s sports complex for gymnastics is an investment in structured, high-quality athletic development. This center is worth choosing for several clear reasons. Firstly, its long-established presence and clear commitment to the progressive USAG and Xcel programs provide a reliable, structured curriculum that many smaller, less specialized gyms cannot match. The sheer variety of services ensures that whether your child is 2 or 16, they have a tailored program to meet their physical needs and competitive goals.
However, it is vital for Washington families to approach their decision with full knowledge. While the programs and facilities are excellent, some user reviews have highlighted concerns regarding administrative management and the consistency of coaching quality, noting that some coaches may be less 'hands-on' than expected. Prospective members should use the offered Trial Classes to evaluate the specific coaching style and communication level of the instructors their child would be working with. By doing this due diligence—leveraging the trial to assess the coach-student interaction—families can confirm they are getting the high-quality, engaging instruction that the comprehensive nature of this reputable Issaquah sports complex promises. Ultimately, the progressive curriculum, specialized equipment, and official competitive track make Gymnastics East a highly valuable resource for youth athletics in the region, provided the individual coaching fit is confirmed.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Gym East Issaquah has zero management, terrible front desk who doesn't know how to answer questions about anything, and staffing issues (coach no-shows). There are a couple good coaches who are actually enthusiastic with the kids, the others I've seen look like they don't want to be there. I don't recommend this place to others.
August 20 · Leo K.We had our daughter enrolled in a late evening class (mini flips). I was absolutely unimpressed by the coach. They stood in a corner (read far with hands in pocket) and only gave oral instructions. I never saw them spotting, helping, or showing the kids on how things are done. I have never seen any sport being taught that way. We moved from another city where the coaches were hands-on and always guiding, showing, and teaching the movements.I am not sure if all coaches are the same but our experience with this particular coach wasn’t pleasant at all and we did not see any improvement in our child.
October 16 · Kedar KarnikMy wife had a disappointing experience with this gymnastics center. They initially agreed to specific terms, took the payment, but later failed to honor the agreement. When she requested a refund due to their failure to deliver, they initially agreed to refund but later refused to refund. This lack of professionalism and accountability is unacceptable. I would caution others to get everything in writing and proceed carefully before committing.
November 18 · Ahmed HamadaMy daughter loves this gym! She has had such a positive experience growing throughout the recreational and team programs! She has had the most amazing coaches who haven't only developed her gymnastic skills but life skills that have had such a positive impact on her life.
March 06 · Cassie JukesMy daughter really enjoys gymnastics east. However, my one complaint is that all the kids use the mats and equipment bare foot. Then all the coaches use it with dirty shoes on. My daughter comes home with dirty feet and hands. It’s quite bothersome to me. The coaches all seem quite pleasant and good with the kids.
