★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I recently had the chance to swim at the YMCA while it's undergoing renovations. While the current construction makes navigating a bit of a challenge (getting from the pool to changing areas, etc.), it didn't detract from the overall experience. The pool itself was lovely, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone I encountered was very welcoming.I'm excited to see the completed renovations and experience the full potential of this YMCA.
December 26 · Paul BaughmanThe YMCA staff is like a second family to my daughter. I can go to work every day calm and confident because my daughter is in the best hands. ¡ Gracias por todo YMCA! 💕
March 07 · Daniela SeverinoThe weight room is really nice and now that it’s updated it’s worth the money. My complaint is with the pool staff. Any time I bring my son there to swim they are so rude, and they talk down to you instead of at you. I’m here right now and was told by the front that open swim starts at 12. When I took him to the pool the attitude we got and told 1230 to me was unacceptable.
April 26 · Julian EiIts obvious through experience that the YMCA will close wrongfully and not uphold a willingness to maintain a reliable facility for their paying members. Many examples, but two are at the top:1) I once arrived at the YMCA to use the weightlifting room, but at the desk I was told that the entire facility was closed. I was told this by a man with a beverage in hand and a party in the background enjoying live music. 2) The YMCA closed ALL day for 1” of snow that arrived at approx. 8am. I arrived at my usual workout time, 6 pm, and the facility was closed with a perfectly cleared parking lot. Not a drop of snow anywhere (the roads were perfect -literally perfect- since 10am).But hey, they are still getting every member’s dues on the first of each month, right?*Edit - Response to owner* - this has nothing to do with the YMCA’s system of notification performance - which is proficient. It has everything to do with the YMCA’s lack of upholding a dependable and open facility; i.e. hosting a party in the lobby and canceling on paying members. As for the snow instance, the roads were never bad. 1” of snow at 8am does not call for closure on the whole day no matter which way you see it. It’s disappointing as a member, and this is common chat among other members.
March 05 · Raymond KilmerTerrible experience. The older woman at the front desk told my wife today that she had to pay a 15$ fee to get in the pool with our son who has a year membership that we just paid 350$ for. Our son is 5 years old and cannot utilize the pool by himself as he cannot swim yet. On top of that we also pay for private swim lessons for him but he does like to go on the inflatable slide after his lessons and he needs an adult with him in the pool. This woman fought with my wife saying she needed to buy a membership in order to get in the pool or pay the 15$ fee every weekend. Absolutely unprofessional and greedy. Asked for a cancellation of the membership for him and she proceeded to give even more attitude. Terrible experience absolutely awful and disrespectful.
