I used to be intimidated by barbell workouts but never felt that way at Gowanus Fitness. The coaches offer great encouraging feedback and modifications if you have an injury. I’ve been coming for ~5 months and definitely feel stronger. Open gym hours are a great perk of the membership as well!

The coaches are wonderful, and the gym's ethos as a whole is about developing anyone's ability to strength train effectively and safely while also pushing you when you need it! The atmosphere is welcoming and accessible and the workouts they plan are week by week but usually remain consistent for a few weeks based on the day, so you can choose to work on something over time, or try different things on different days. I love it here!
