What is Worth Choosing
Glassworks Fitness presents a compelling choice for anyone in the Louisville area looking for a new place to work out. The gym's most significant draw is its uncrowded atmosphere. In a world where many commercial gyms are packed to the brim, especially during peak hours, finding a space where you can work out without feeling pressured or rushed is a huge benefit. This less-crowded environment allows for a more relaxed and efficient workout, where you can move freely between machines and weights. The focus on providing plenty of free weights and a good selection of cardio machines also makes it an excellent option for those who prioritize these types of workouts. While some patrons have noted the potential for improvements, the core offering of a functional, well-equipped, and not-overly-busy gym remains a strong selling point.
The gym’s downtown location is another major advantage, particularly for those who work in the city center. It’s a convenient spot to grab a workout during the day or on your way home, making it easier to stick to your fitness routine. For a local gym, it provides a solid foundation of equipment and a welcoming feel. The commitment to accessibility is also worth highlighting, as it ensures that the facility is welcoming to all members of the community. In summary, Glassworks Fitness is an ideal choice for those who value a personal, focused, and well-equipped workout space over the crowded and fast-paced environment of larger fitness chains. The potential for a great workout is there, and for many in Louisville, it’s a perfect fit.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I tried two times to go to this gym, first at 7:15 a.m. the site claims they’re open at 6:00 but no one was at the desk, and when I called the number I was sent to voicemail.I tried again the next day at 3:30 p.m. calling to make sure someone was there. Kent answered and told me how to get in the building ensuring someone would be at the desk until about 4:30 so I did as he said and again no one was there and I could not get in. I called Kent back to ask and he sent me to voicemail. Wasted $5 each time on parking.Surprising that this place stays open while being so difficult to actually go to for new members. I travel for work and visit new gyms often and rarely have this much trouble.
September 17 · Jacob CapraGood gym with plenty of free weights and cardio machines. Not at all crowded. Could benefit by some investment in a cable weight system and some leg machines, and could have been maintained better. Still, enjoyed my experience and will go back if in Louisville needing a place to workout.
August 12 · Jason GlassThe owner accommodates travelers at $25/week. The gym is 24 access with a key card and has everything for a good workout. It is not necessarily staffed 24h, however, so you may have to deal with poor gym etiquette by others (read: people who actually don't know how to lift, but grunt as if they do) or questionable music choices, but I would still recommend for the price/equipment/location. Can't be beat!
August 17 · Alina CorcoranIf you're looking for a convenient and friendly place to workout in downtown Louisville, take the time to check out Glassworks Fitness (located in the basement of the Glassworks building). Not only does this gym have all the typical equipment you might expect (treadmills, weights, elliptical machines, etc.) but you'll also find more unusual options including TRX training equipment. And when it comes to working out, you can choose between doing it solo, participating in group classes, or getting some individualized training designed to help you gain strength and stay injury-free. Best of all, this place is friendly and relaxed, with a real community feel...the perfect place to work off some stress and get into shape.
September 01 · Diane Watts-RoyTruly a neighborhood fitness center, GWF provides a friendly, personalized gym experience. Its access and location couldn't be more convenient for people who work or live downtown, like me. It has all the equipment I need to do my own thing, while also offering amazing group training sessions where I can get more guidance in my workouts. It is always staffed while open, and Kent and Angela are great resources who are always happy to help. The instructors are also motivating, friendly, and energetic. I can't imagine being a member anywhere else. Glassworks Fitness will always be my gym!
