We try to go every day. Someone is always at the front desk to welcome us in 👍👍 Lots of treadmills, various workout equipment and a great weight lifting area. We are in our mid 80's and need to stay active ... the gym is great for walking, bicycling, any type of work out, plus yoga and dance exercise classes. Great gym!

Super friendly staff and members! Clean gym with everything you need. Most importantly, they have Hammer Strength equipment, tons of dumbbells and benches. It's not crowded, and they have amazing hours. They also have showers and a sauna and the locker rooms are always clean. They literally have everything. I highly recommend you do a day pass. Ask for Hadar. He's a great guy and will hook you up with the best membership possible out of all their locations! They have a big Genesis in independence, and vivian as well.

I had been going to this gym consistently for over a month, using the kids’ club each time with my child. I was called once about my membership, but I kept going , and not a single staff member ever said a word to me in person about a payment issue. Today, while holding my son, I was suddenly told I couldn’t bring him in anymore unless I paid $270.That kind of delayed communication is not only unprofessional, it’s humiliating. I was never emailed, flagged, or spoken to before this, and I felt completely blindsided. For a place that promotes being family-friendly, this was a poor experience. I’ve since switched to another gym that actually values clear communication and respects both me and my child.

I’ve been using Genesis Gym this summer while visiting from abroad, and it’s been a great experience! As an international guest, I felt welcomed from day one. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the facility is clean, spacious, and well equipped with everything you may need to hit a workout.It’s been the perfect place to stay consistent with my workouts while away from home. I highly recommend Genesis, also with one subscription you can enter any Genesis gym facility. So overall I’m having a great experience!

Theft Problem!! Worn out Gym!Today I was taking a shower and forgot to relock my locker in the men's locker room. I was gone about 7 min and in that time someone got into my wallet and took both debit cards and one credit card. I admit it was MY fault this happened and while I was able to stop all the transactions the total amount I almost lost is 13,856,92 between the three banks. The thief also stole my SIM card in an attempt to slow me down from stopping him. A report with KCPD North Patrol was made.When I went back later today and spoke with Brandon Graham the Gym Manger, and informed him of what happened and the dollar amount I almost lost, it was clear he did not give a two shits about my issue, did not even take notes (even when I told him the time frame), told me he would look at the video but not share it with me and would not reach out to PD unless they contacted him. He reluctantly took a copy of my loss notes and the police report card. Not even sure he got the side WITH the report number on it to be honest.They Gym has not had money put in it. The equipment is worn on some pieces, the water fountains have their innards showing, overflowing trash can of paper towels, the shower curtains are so small that water shoots out of them instead of keeping it in the showers, there is gouges in the walls of the men's locker room, the poster are either not in the frames and wrickled from water log and have not been replaced probably ever, the desk the staff use are falling apart and peeling, and today no hand sanitizer in the dispenser by the water fountains. Details matter and if they cannot clean and maintain the SMALL things what else are they not cleaning or maintaining or fixing to standard. Where the hell is my money and yours going I ask?There are OTHER Genesis Gyms in the area and I suggest, like I am, you stay away from this one, its manager, and find one were the GM cares about his gym and staff and a member who had almost 14,000 stolen by another member today. Its worth the extra gas and drive time.
