Dhyana Yoga Reviews
I have been a student here for more than five years. At first I was a bit intimidated because this place teaches “real” yoga (as opposed to fitness classes that incorporate some yoga) and has a lot of advanced students including many yoga teachers even in “all levels” classes. HOWEVER I was quickly drawn in by their incredibly kind and supportive highly experienced teachers who really create a feeling of community - I may be struggling to get into a beginner pose and the person next to me struggling to deepen it, we are all in it together. Great Mysore program in the mornings too.
August 03 · Katherine SchneiderDhyana Yoga is basically a good studio. Of late, it has sort of become Hipster Yoga. A lot of the teachers are older and very established there. The culture is definitely urban, lower-middle class. Tattoos and dyed hair abound. It's still a good place to throw down a mat.
May 15 · Jenna BaskilovaI completed my first 200 hour YTT with dhyana yoga last year. It was an amazing journey and I cannot begin to describe how much I learned and grew. I highly recommend Dayana's classes, workshops, and teacher trainings. And you'll get to meet some of the most wonderful people and yogis!!
August 03 · Sarah AmedoroI attended a transcendental meditation workshop at the 2nd & Arch location. It was an outstanding and informative session. It helps that the people, some new to mediation and others more familiar, were friendly and open. Led by Dhyana, it was exactly the first step I was looking for into a regular meditation practice.
May 15 · William AhernThey used to have this really awesome yin teacher, but they're still the best in Philly even though he's not around.
