What is Worth Choosing Defying Gravity Activity Center?
Choosing Defying Gravity Activity Center is an investment in your child's comprehensive development, providing a crucial blend of specialized physical training and essential character building. It is worth choosing for three primary reasons that set it apart in the Georgia youth sports landscape.
First, the breadth of programming is truly unmatched. From the unique Beginner Bees class that supports parents in navigating their toddler's motor milestones, to the competitive USAG team program, the center offers a continuous path for growth. Crucially, the presence of the Gems program highlights a commitment to inclusivity and specialized support for children with disabilities, positioning the center as a vital, community-minded resource in Acworth.
Second, the core mission is life-skills-focused. While some recreational parents may note a less rigid structure in beginner classes—a format often designed to prioritize fun, confidence-building, and exploration over immediate, high-pressure skill acquisition—the ultimate goal is the development of a well-rounded human being. Kind and engaging coaches support this mission, ensuring children gain confidence by overcoming physical obstacles in a positive setting.
Finally, the center is committed to family trust and safety. The center is fully accessible with wheelchair-friendly entrances, parking, and restrooms, reflecting a high level of professionalism in facility standards. While some prior customer feedback has raised serious concerns regarding facility cooling during the hot Georgia summer months and clarity on billing and drop policies, the feedback itself emphasizes the importance of safety and customer trust. Families investing in these programs should feel confident that any professional activity center relies on this crucial feedback to drive continuous operational improvements, particularly those related to the comfort and safety of children during physical activity, and transparency in administrative matters. By choosing a facility with such a wide range of specialized, mission-driven offerings, Georgia families are opting for a program that recognizes the long-term value of building character alongside tumbling skills.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Unfortunately, our experience here hasn’t been great. We enrolled our child with high hopes, but ultimately had to withdraw for several reasons. The gym is not air conditioned, and during the hot Georgia summer, the indoor temperatures were genuinely uncomfortable and at times felt unsafe — especially for young kids engaging in physical activity. When I raised this concern, the response I received was essentially “It’s just Georgia heat,” which felt dismissive and didn’t reflect a commitment to providing a safe environment. We also didn’t feel our child was receiving much instruction during classes. There was very little guidance or structure, and we left sessions unsure of what skills were being taught or developed. On top of that, the gym charged us for August tuition even though I submitted our drop request within the required timeframe. It’s a 45-minute drive for us, and between the lack of structure, heat, and billing issues, it just wasn’t worth it.I appreciate the coaches who were kind to my child, but I hope the gym takes this feedback seriously — both for the safety of the kids and the trust of families investing in these programs.

July 20 · Whitney WolfeI just signed our daughter up for her very first Gymnastics Lesson! The coaches seemed enthusiastic and encouraging taking the time to assist those children who needed it. Our daughter went home that day and started practicing on her own! She is completely motivated!!

June 14 · Mrs. Jordan KierOur daughter has been taking tumbling classes for about 4 years with Defying Gravity. They have been wonderful, working on tumbling skills, social interaction, and they are super flexible with her ever changing schedule. The staff & coaches are always friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough!
