What is worth choosing Crunch Fitness - Chelsea? The gym’s value is perfectly summarized by one of its members who called it "the smart choice: bang for the buck, and no twelve month commitment." In comparison to high-end competitors like Equinox, which was also a gym this member joined, Crunch offers a superior value proposition. The exceptional quality of the personal trainers, like Jordan and Octave, who provide truly customized plans, is a key reason to choose this location. The classes, as another member noted, are so good that they alone make the membership price worthwhile. The gym's commitment to a "No Judgments" philosophy creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, a significant draw for anyone who has felt out of place at other gyms. The inclusion of amenities like showers, towel service, and a beautiful aesthetic makes the workout experience not just effective, but enjoyable. Furthermore, the accessibility and professional handling of member issues, such as a staff member taking care of a machine being "held hostage," showcases the dedication of the team to ensuring a positive environment for everyone. The lack of a sauna at this specific location is a minor point, but the overall experience and value far outweigh this single missing amenity. Whether you are looking for a fun group class, a personalized training plan, or just a clean and inviting space to work out on your own, Crunch Fitness - Chelsea provides all of this and more, making it a highly recommended destination for your fitness journey in New York City.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1short: It's a fun and clean place to work out with classes, showers, and towel service included. The ambient lighting is beautiful and inviting.money-saving tip: check with your employer to see if you're eligible for the corporate rate, which is about 30% discount off the monthly ratelong: I inquired about the corporate rate for my employer. I was excited to learn that it's about 30% off. I met with Louis that day after work. He gave me a tour and explained things. I really appreciate the exceptional experience he provides. I signed up immediately. The place just feels right. Unlike other gyms like Planet Fitness and blink where I want to leave as soon as possible, this place I actually want to stay, relax and recover, then workout more. The classes really make the membership price alone worth it. I work in an office so I'm sitting down all day, therefore I need movement and I get it from the classes. I did sign up for a dozen personal training sessions, and it's worth it. Jordan, the lead personal trainer, is very knowledgeable to a point that it shows he has a master degree in it. My personal trainer is Octave, a former soccer player. He is very patient and positive. This is the first time that I felt that the personal training was actually customized for my goals. In the past I had a personal trainer at blink and the guy seemed to have one general plan for everyone because he didn't incorporate anything I asked for and when I confronted him about it he insisted that I need a general plan to get in shape. I canceled after the third session. Max and Brandon are also great. Now, this location does get crazy crowded, especially on Mondays. Basically: Monday to Wednesday is crowded. The great thing is that almost no one does legs at this location,so those machines are available every day and night. The first day I went, a girl had her personal belongings scattered on the machine and on the seat of a leg machine. I thought it was the girl on the next machine and she informed me that the girl is on the other side of the room. I approached her to ask if she finished using the machine, while she was busy crab-walking with a resistance band, and she told me that she had one more set to do. I was like oh no not on my first day I can't tolerate this, so I went downstairs and informed Louis that a girl was holding a leg machine hostage while she was doing a different work out at the other side of the room. He went upstairs and took care of it right away. Ever since, I mostly just do legs, personal training, and classes. I am very happy here. In comparison to Equinox, which I also joined, this is the smart choice: bang for the buck, and no twelve month commitment. Equinox does have refrigerated minty fresh towels that I do love. Highly recommended. For anyone looking for great classes at Crunch I recommend the following:- Michael A - Chelsea & Tribeca- Mitchell - 54th
July 06 · WHITE LIONI just want to update my review and say I love this gym so much I have yet to learn of the employees names(🥲😅) but I always feel very welcomed and comfortable in this gym. I love the aesthetic of it, it doesn’t get too crowded &The equipment is always working. The only thing I would say is I believe they’re the only crunch location in Manhattan that does not have a sauna. Other than that 10/10
July 08 · A. HAs someone that is from out of town, the 19th st location of Crunch Fitness is a great spot. The location is relatively easy to access considering where it is. It has far more than basic options for equipment; you should have no problem getting a great workout in here. And the staff was very kind. Dahlia Rose made the process of me getting a day pass extremely simple and explained to me where everything was in the gym. As someone who travels often, this is one of the best gyms I have used. Whether a hardcore gym rat or a more passive gym goer, this is your best option. Great spot!
June 01 · Kenyon RoysterNo. This gym is cheap and gross. The towels are Awful!!! The locker room cleaner sprayed febreeze everywhere while we were showering. That is a stupid move and hazardous. I couldn't breathe inhaling this cheap odor. The machines need daily heavy sanitizing.
August 09 · Luna GWeights are sufficient and approximately 50% full on a Thursday morning but got more crowded later that morning. There were serious fitness folks around, some with trainers; but compared to other locations, saw some folks with their phones out on the main floor… to have their conversations or filming their workout. There is also a DJ booth in the middle of the staircase with a sign that invites you to join 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month for working out to DJ mixes. The group fitness classroom looked a bit small but tidy.Layout is sensible and spacious, at least when it’s not crowded. Machines are mostly upstairs, with some downstairs also.Lots of trainers about.Showers are great. Spacious stalls with glass doors, decent pressure and piping hot water. There are towels by the lockers. The hair drying area was tidy. I’m glad they had racks for hair dryers and flatirons.Didn’t see many water fountains so be prepared to bring your own or buy from the front desk.
