For Washington residents in search of a fitness home, **CrossFit Twenty Pound Hammer** is worth choosing primarily because of its **dual-focused programming** and its **unmatched community vibe**.

This level of personalized flexibility—the ability to be a generalist or a specialist within the same supportive facility—is a rarity in the functional fitness world.
Secondly, the gym's commitment to being the **"friendliest gym in Seattle"** is more than just a tagline; it is a lived experience, confirmed by members who praise the coaches for being **"very friendly"** and the atmosphere for making them feel welcome. This positive, inclusive environment, reinforced by its **women-owned** identity and accessibility features, is vital for long-term consistency. Finding a gym where the community **"really does have a special thing going"** ensures that you remain accountable, supported, and excited to show up, which is the true secret to fitness longevity. By choosing TPH, you are investing in expert coaching, a customizable training path, and a truly special community in the heart of Seattle.

May 03 · Si Ying Li, KayI've been working out with the crew at Twenty Pound Hammer off and on for as long as they've been open and my fitness journey always ends up back here. They really do have a special thing going. The training, the space, and the community are all amazing. I attended group classes for years until I wanted to start specializing my training to fit my individual goals and transitioned to their individualized offering. I would recommend that anyone, whether they're new to fitness and training in general, or a seasoned fire breather come and spend a few sessions in the gym. You won't be disappointed.
January 31 · Gary OwenThis gym is the best in Seattle. Period. If you join any other gym other than Twenty Pound Hammer, you are wasting your time and money. The two lead coaches, Melissa and Monica, are the best athletic coaches/trainers I have ever experienced. They are incredibly knowledgeable, motivating, and welcoming. They have built a radiating sense of community within this gym as well. This place and its coaches are the best part of my day. If you want to grow physically, mentally, and personally, join this gym. The coaches genuinely care about every aspect.
November 16 · Aaron GleesingI've been attending this gym for almost a year, and it's been an amazing experience! All of the coaches are extremely welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. If you are like me and found yourself wandering around the gym weight room and not pushing yourself in your workouts, I highly recommend you try a class at Twenty Pound Hammer. It's been nothing but rewarding for me physically and emotionally.I would also add: don't to be intimidated. Everyone is always learning something new and in different places with their skills and fitness level. The coaches do a great job at meeting you at your skill level by scaling workouts so they're doable, while also teaching you new things and pushing you to do your best. In short, it's a wonderful community and I highly recommend this gym!
May 03 · Amanda SnyderI moved to the area in May of 2022 and tried 5 gyms before I found Twenty Pound Hammer. During my search, the coach at TPH was the first coach in all 6 gyms to ask me if I had any injuries they should know about. I signed up and never looked back. The coaching and community at this gym is amazing. I’ve grown so much here and would encourage anyone looking to improve their fitness and find community to join the gym.
