★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have been going to this location for years and have not had a problem until now. I had instructor Hilary S. and like a previous reviewer, it wasn’t a good experience. Hilary S. thought it was appropriate to adjust my feet using her feet. I was beyond disgusted and told her, “I don’t do adjustments or touching.” Hilary later felt it was appropriate to then make another adjustment to me except this time by snapping her fingers.I would like to state again that I have gone to this studio for years and had over 10 other instructors and never had a problem before this.
August 11 · Ginger AndersonNice studio, great and challenging classes. My only complaint would be the constant chattering from other class mates. Specifically the more packed classes like 5:15pm. Even tiny whispers can be heard at the beginning, during, and end of class. Not saying all classes are like this but it would be nice if instructors could call it out.
April 07 · Nina LinderDid my first yoga sculpt class today at this location and could not have been happier! Sonya is an amazing instructor- her class was challenging, the studio was hot, and the music was great! The studio and women’s locker room were also very clean. Definitely will be coming back!!
January 23 · Oliwia LosI visited the CorePower Yoga location in Roscoe Village with my fiancé using their free week promo. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.Upon arrival, my fiancé informed the instructor, Hilary S., that he had never done yoga before. She gave a brief tour and then left us to wait in the studio. The first thing we noticed was the music—explicit rap with profanity and racial slurs, which felt extremely inappropriate for a yoga class. It made us uncomfortable, especially as the only people of color in the class.Hilary mentioned that the heat had been left on overnight, making the room excessively hot and humid before class even started. There was condensation on the floor, which seemed like a safety hazard. During the class, Hilary did not demonstrate the movements, which made it difficult to follow—especially for those at different skill levels. She also frequently changed her verbal instructions mid-sentence, causing confusion. One of the most off-putting moments was when my fiancé and I stopped simultaneously to drink water, and Hilary abruptly shouted at us to save conversations for after class. We weren’t even speaking—just hydrating due to the extreme heat. This interaction felt unnecessarily hostile. After class, there was no follow-up, no check-in about our experience, and no discussion about membership options. Hilary was chatting with a coworker and didn’t acknowledge us until we said goodbye first.Overall, this experience did not align with what I expected from a yoga studio. If CorePower aims to create a welcoming and professional environment, they need to address the music choices, instructor engagement, and overall class structure.
February 16 · Elicia BibbsThe classes and instructors are great but the studio is so dirty. The men's locker room has a weird smell and there are always random clothes in the empty lockers. They've also stopped supplying wipes in the classes to wipe down blocks, weights, etc. The studios also don't feel like they're cleaned between classes which causes concern.
