For residents of Maryland, particularly in the Rockville area, finding a yoga studio that blends the traditional practice with a dynamic, fitness-focused approach can be the key to a fulfilling wellness journey. CorePower Yoga - Rockville offers just that, providing a modern and accessible space for people to explore the physical and mental benefits of yoga. This studio, part of a larger, well-known brand, has carved out a unique identity by offering a variety of heated and non-heated classes that appeal to a wide range of practitioners, from seasoned yogis to curious beginners. This article is designed to give you a detailed and factual overview of what makes this studio a prominent and valuable part of the Maryland fitness community, highlighting its services, community focus, and practical features.
CorePower Yoga is known for its blend of traditional Vinyasa flow with a more athletic and strength-building style. The studio’s atmosphere is consistently praised for being welcoming and supportive. One customer review beautifully encapsulates this, expressing gratitude to the instructors for helping them "ease into my yoga journey, despite initial awkwardness and anxiety." This feedback highlights a core strength of the studio: its ability to provide a safe and encouraging environment for those who may feel intimidated by the practice. The same reviewer also pointed out that despite being a "corporate studio," they had "no regrets," and found the practice to be "truly so personal and spiritual." The high quality of the instructors is a major highlight, with multiple names like Jing, Eric, and Sun being called out for their excellent classes. The studio’s commitment to providing both heated and hot options is a key feature, allowing individuals to choose a class that best suits their comfort level. While the review mentions a minor concern about the cleanliness between classes, it's worth noting that the bathrooms are consistently kept clean. The studio also provides a truly inclusive and safe space for everyone, including those who identify as LGBTQ+ or transgender, a crucial and commendable feature.

The review offers a helpful "hack" by suggesting parking in the smaller lot by Starbucks and Barnes & Noble, which might have "fewer car traffic during busy hours." The studio's official website confirms that free customer parking is available throughout the Congressional Plaza shopping center, which is a significant benefit despite the potential for busyness. When it comes to accessibility, the studio excels. It features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Thankful to all the instructors and experiences I’ve had so far! CPY helped me ease into my yoga journey, despite initial awkwardness and anxiety. While I was hesitant to fall in love with such a corporate studio, no regrets here. The practice is truly so personal and spiritual, and CPY has continuously provided a space for me to work on myself and my overall journey as a human, not just a beginner yogi.I have enjoyed all my classes with every instructor thus far, and especially Jing, Eric, and Sun’s classes.I had tried heated/hot yoga before but I do like how there are heated vs. hot options. Their bathrooms have always been clean. Parking can be tricky/annoying because Congressional is such a busy shopping center, but a little hack could be to park in the small lot down the steps (by Starbucks & Leb Tav). It’s just a longer walk (up the stairs, past Sbux, and B&N), but *MIGHT* have fewer car traffic during busy hours!(The low scoop sports bra was not yoga-friendly 🫡 kept worrying about a slip while I was trying to focus on my form and mindful movements)
May 07 · Angie KI would go to CorePower all the time if they used infrared heat. If they made that change I’d be in there always. Some of their locations aren’t super clean either. They are not dirty by any means- but I’ve been there when I had a hot class back to back and it wasn’t cleaned. Sometimes I just go in there and it doesn’t feel great.
February 07 · Ashley SchaferI have been attending CPY for a few weeks now and I love it! Instructors are friendly and provide great guidance. They provide locks and there are some lockers that can be set up with a code. The location is always well maintained and clean. I plan to continue going to CPY
June 06 · Leticia Melchor-GarciaI like this studio and the instructors but CorePower Yoga’s late policy is ridiculous! I had a 12:00pm class. I got there at 12:00pm and the doors were already locked! Even Solidcore has a 5 min grace period. I’m pretty sure this policy is less about “disrupting everyone’a focus” and more about making money off the $31 “missed reservation” fee.
June 19 · Laura RothI was at a class this evening at the Rockville studio and was a victim of theft. All seemed normal leading up to class. Keep in mind there is no front desk associate ever present (the coach checks attendees in), so during the class, the individual was able to rummage through not only my things but also someone else’s. 4 cards (debit and credit) and $6,000 later, I was getting fraud alerts and calls from my husband. Not worried so much about the money, but fact that my peace of mind is gone. They need to figure out 2 things. 1. How to improve security 2. How to vet out attendees that do not clearly belong. The coach was nice about it, but didn’t really do much (again emphasis on the fact that they need to improve their security or procedures). I was trying to get out as fast I could feeling so uncomfortable. Absolutely ridiculous. I now am and forever will be so uncomfortable about this place. Will never be back.
