★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Amazing experience for my first intro class. Very informative, parking was covered, all the other attendees were nice and engaging even when having to share items. It was all time of people there to help with comfort. Very well put together environment. The instructors had a great sense of humor and demonstrating everything f precisely so anyone can learn. Very encouraging through the class. Also special deals to come back. Can’t wait to start my aerial journey I’ve always wanted to try this since dancing at like 10yrs old.
April 28 · Simona BambinaI absolutely love taking classes at Chicago Aerial Arts, it’s not only empowering but every skill level is able to take classes, they also have so many fun events and workshops for members, they encourage growth and the community is truly wonderful. They offer trials so you can see if this studio is for you, they offer private classes, open gyms, flexibility training. I would encourage anyone to come and check them out I feel like you will not be disappointed at all. Everyone is above and beyond here.
August 07 · Daniella LinzerLove this studio for lyra and I've tried hammock as well. You do have to buy a membership and go consistently. No a-la-carte class options here and you cannot change your apparatus back and forth. You can do multiple apparati but need to have the appropriate membership to have at least 1 class per week in each apparatus. Ceilings are high. Facilities are clean. No AC in the summer but they do their best with fans. Parking is easy and free once you figure out the app. Everyone is super nice. Cute decor. Not a lot of mirrors to see what you're doing. Would recommend buying their intro package for 2 weeks of unlimited level 1 classes!
August 24 · Elaina ChenAerial Arts Chicago is an outstanding organization that consistently delivers an excellent experience! The studio is sparkling clean, super welcoming, and full of great energy — the perfect space to move, fly, and have fun.Their team of instructors is incredible — talented, friendly, and seriously passionate about what they do. They make everyone feel supported, whether you're just starting out or leveling up your skills. If you're thinking about giving aerial a try, do it! You won’t regret it. Aerial Arts Chicago is a joyful, inspiring place — we can’t recommend it enough!
June 11 · Stay At Bangtel1. CAA cancels class due to low enrollment. I know that they have to make a profit as a business, but it’s annoying if you have already canceled your plans for the class. Other aerial places I go to like AIR Aerial Fitness and Get a Grip Trapeze still hold the class even if only one student is signed up.2. Classes have no break between them. One Saturday, for example, open gym started immediately after the sling class. That class ended about five minutes late, then people cleaned the mat and asked questions. I didn’t get on the sling until nearly 10 minutes after open gym had officially started. Then, a kids’ class began right after open gym ended. So sometimes, you don’t actually get the full hour for your session. If you take two classes back-to-back, there’s no time for a water or restroom break in between. Every other workout place I’ve been to schedules at least a 10-minute gap between classes to allow for transitions and to ensure students get their full class time.3. Some of their slings smells bad. It might be fine if you don’t open the fabric, but once you fan it out for poses like cocoon, you can be overwhelmed by the smell of sweat.4. Their confirmation email says in bold, “PLEASE ARRIVE 15-20 MINUTES EARLY AS WE ARE A BIT OF A HIDDEN TREASURE!” Today, I arrived 30 minutes early to warm up, but was told the studio doesn’t open until open gym starts, so I had to wait outside for 30 minutes and warm up outside.5. They recently stopped allowing people to play their own music during open gym even at very low volumes. I completely understand the change, but they should have sent an email to let us know or at least let me know when someone complains about my music. That way, I could have brought headphones for my two-hour open gym beforehand instead of being told after I was already on the apparatus.6. They are not showcase-friendly if they don’t allow people to play their own music to practice their acts during open gym. Headphones can easily fall off due to movements in the air and sweat, which can be dangerous if someone lands on them on the mat. They should consider better policies, like allowing each person to play their own music for a portion of the time—such as 60 minutes divided by the number of people in open gym. These are just facts and suggestions. I’ve attended their open gym about 20 times but only took classes for two weeks, so I can’t speak for their other offerings. I’ve read other reviews and believe many had a great experience, but the points I mentioned are still valid.
