Annex Yoga Studio Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the vibrant heart of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, Annex Yoga Studio stands as a peaceful and welcoming retreat for yogis of all levels. Annex Yoga Studio fosters an atmosphere where every individual, regardless of their experience level, feels comfortable and supported. The core philosophy here is to provide a space where you can come as you are and leave feeling better than when you arrived. A unique feature of the studio is the absence of mirrors, which encourages students to focus inward on their own practice and alignment rather than being distracted by external comparisons. The classes are unscripted, ensuring that no two sessions are exactly alike, which keeps the practice fresh and engaging. The instructors are experts at providing modifications to either increase or decrease the difficulty, making every class suitable for the full spectrum of experience. This personalized approach, coupled with a focus on movement, alignment, and breath, makes Annex Yoga Studio a gem in the Ohio region. It's a place where locals and visitors alike can find a moment of tranquility and self-care in a bustling urban environment.

What is worth choosing
For those in the Ohio region, particularly in and around Cincinnati, Annex Yoga Studio is a truly exceptional choice, offering a yoga experience that is both high-quality and deeply personal. Its reputation for a "constant 5 star rating" is not just a marketing claim but is backed by glowing, detailed customer testimonials. A reviewer who was a visiting flight attendant, and therefore a seasoned traveler of yoga studios worldwide, declared it "one of the best," which is a powerful endorsement. This speaks to the studio's ability to create a consistently excellent experience. The core strength of Annex Yoga Studio is its commitment to a judgment-free, welcoming atmosphere. For someone who hasn't practiced in a while, or for a complete beginner, the idea of walking into a new studio can be intimidating. The reviewer's comment about the class being "a great studio for all levels" and the instructor's welcoming demeanor directly addresses this concern. Furthermore, the studio’s unique approach of providing unscripted classes and having no mirrors encourages a more authentic and introspective practice. This is a deliberate choice that fosters a focus on internal sensation and alignment rather than external appearance, which is a significant differentiator. The practical benefits are also noteworthy. The free provision of mats, towels, and blocks with payment is a huge convenience, especially for those visiting from out of town or for anyone who doesn't want to carry bulky equipment. This thoughtfulness, combined with the personal touches like the lavender fan, shows that the studio cares about the small details that make a big difference. While it's not a "hot yoga" studio in the traditional sense, the fact that the room is "very warm" is an enjoyable compromise for those who want a heated practice without the intensity of a fully heated studio. For anyone in Ohio seeking a yoga studio that feels less like a business and more like a community, where you can feel challenged yet supported, Annex Yoga Studio is a truly worthwhile choice. It is a place that offers high-quality instruction and a strong sense of community, ensuring that you leave every class feeling better than when you arrived.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1There’s a reason this place has a constant 5 star rating. I was visiting for work and this studio was very close to me. Sherri was my instructor and was very welcoming when i arrived. I like to leave reviews that are informative to what questions others might have because they can’t always be answered on their website.I took the 12:00 lunchtime flow. Class was $15 and was easy to pay via Venmo. Towel, mat, and blocks are free and included with your payment. I was looking for a hot yoga but they informed me when i walked in that this wasn’t a hot yoga studio but it was very warm in there which i enjoyed. Class was small and intimate and Sherri gave great direction. I haven’t gone to a class in awhile and it’s definitely a great studio for all levels. While i LOVE a lavender towel provided after class in hot yoga they don’t have that but she did walk around with a lavender fan to cool us off after class. A great touch. Left feeling better than i did and set me up for a very tranquil rest of my day. I would definitely come back.
February 05 · Jeff NWow!I loved today’s class! I’mA flight attendant and try yoga studios around the world and this is honestly one of the best !Loved the energy.Thank you so much
November 09 · Maria PezAnnex Yoga Studio was my first try at yoga as I have been focusing on an overall healthier lifestyle. I could not say enough great things about the staff that teaches classes here. Everyone is super supportive and helpful. I would especially recommend trying a Saturday morning class with Mina. She will walk around and recommend the slightest adjustments to positions you are doing that really help you be more effective and understand the intent (which for me is so important).
December 23 · Matt EdmistonIf I could give this studio more than 5 stars, I would! I highly recommend this studio and their amazing teachers. By far the BEST yoga flows, teachers and community I have ever experienced. The yoga style is fit for all levels - I appreciated the open and accessible sequences when I first joined, it was not intimidating at all. I also appreciated how the teachers work-shopped and broke down more advanced postures as I progressed through my practice. The teachers are fantastic - I recommend all of them, but if it's your first class definitely try Mina's Friday 6pm class. She is the studio owner and puts a lot of heart and soul into her class. Allison B's classes are also fantastic - creative flows and amazing music. Alison A's classes are also lovely with great music! The community is one of a kind. Teachers learn your name, tailor the class to YOUR needs, and love to spend time with you outside of class as well. I was new to Cincinnati and this studio became my second home.Give it a try, you won't regret it!!
July 23 · Paloma AndresLoved attending this studio/Mina’s classes when I lived in Cincinnati! I went in knowing very little about proper yoga form. During my year attending the studio, I learned form and got a great workout each class. Having moved, I’m still looking for a class/studio that balances teaching with power yoga flow like this one does. Definitely recommended to most anyone looking to do yoga in Cincinnati!
