I started working with Ann when I was recovering from a sacral stress fracture: I was 8 months postpartum, still struggling to rebuild my core strength and pelvic stability. Before we even had our first meeting, Ann impressed me with her research and preparation. When we met, she continued to impress me with her ability to spot imbalances and then help me correct them. Ann has a keen eye for detail and I could tell that she was really taking the time to consider my injury / my needs. Unlike other practitioners, who seem to have one routine they use for everyone, Ann’s classes are fully customized to meet the needs of her clients. After an injury, there is usually a lot of muscular dysfunction. We started out by activating latent muscles and reestablishing correct movement patterns, basically relaying my foundation. As my mechanics improve, Ann has continued to adapt and challenge me, so that now, we are able to work on ways to help me excel as an Olympic level athlete. I am so grateful to have Ann as a part of my “team,” and I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I also cherish the friendship we have developed over the years, discussing everything from food and wine to Wimbledon matches - all the while keeping an eagle eye on my form! I highly recommend her to anyone, including beginners, as I was one myself!
July 23 · Allyn HaynesI have been a client of Ann's for 5 years. I originally started Pilates at the suggestion of my knee surgeon. I had meniscus surgery on one knee and was trying to avoid it on the other. I am continually impressed by how knowledgeable Ann is about all parts of the body and muscle groups and how they impact each other. She does a VERY thorough evaluation in the beginning and bends over backwards to make sure I am not having pain and am doing the movements with the correct form. At the same time she is dedicated to continually challenging you. I would never recommend someone go to a group "matt class" for Pilates - very important you get some one on one instruction first with a professional like Ann. I successfully avoided knee surgery and eventually achieved being pain free - something i really didn't think I'd experience again. I feel very fortunate to have found her.
September 10 · Laura MilnerI have been doing 1:1 Pilates training with Ann for over three years, and I can't recommend her highly enough. She is not only a great trainer who really partnered with me to help improve my knee injury, but she is also an amazing person who really cares about improving my health and lifestyle. She is very educated with regard to muscle development, bone health, ligament interaction, etc., and how to heal from injury. When I first met her, I felt like there was a sharp knife stabbing my knee, and my injured muscles were extremely atrophied and my leg was bow legged. After 6 months of working with Ann, the pain went away, my leg muscles have improved, in addition to restoring my balance and entire body movement, including walking without a limp. I can't thank her enough and I continue to work with her to improve my health, movement, strength and balance.
