What is worth choosing
The decision to enroll in any sports academy requires careful consideration, and for Georgia users, evaluating the reported facts alongside the customer experiences is key. What is objectively worth choosing about Amplitude Gymnastics Academy is its robust, structured athletic programming. The Academy’s adherence to the USA Gymnastics and Xcel Program standards provides a clear, credible pathway for children interested in competitive gymnastics. The wide variety of offerings, from competitive tracks to recreational Tumbling For Gymnastics and even Parkour Lessons, makes it a one-stop-shop for a diverse set of movement arts. This programmatic depth, combined with a seemingly high level of coaching qualification—including a Master of Sport and certified judge as a director—presents a strong case for its technical training capabilities.
However, local users should also weigh this against reported concerns regarding operational safety, facility maintenance, and customer service. While the Academy’s written mission emphasizes safety and excellence, public feedback suggests potential gaps in the implementation of these standards, specifically noting issues with coach-to-athlete communication, facility upkeep, and adherence to safety protocols like proper spotting and padding—concerns that can be devastating in a high-risk sport like competitive gymnastics.
Therefore, a local family choosing Amplitude Gymnastics Academy would be choosing a facility with: 1) a comprehensive and highly structured curriculum based on national standards; 2) experienced and credentialed coaching leadership; but should also plan to 3) actively monitor the environment, communicate frequently with staff about progress and safety, and personally observe training sessions to ensure their child's experience aligns with the Academy’s stated commitment to integrity, trust, and a safe, positive environment. Given that competitive gymnasts have found success there, as evidenced by a State Champion, the potential for high-level training exists, but requires proactive parental oversight.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Just pulled my daughter out of their program after 6 months. I found the staff to be so unfriendly and rude, could never even get a simple hello from the receptionist let alone feedback from the coaches. Additionally, the place is not well kept- the waiting room is extremely outdated, the chairs and floor have stains all over them. And don’t get me started on the weird smell in there…During our time there, I never once received any information about my daughter’s progress even though I was told they were supposed to be doing evaluations to check progress towards next level.I kept telling myself it would get better there, but it just never did. Do yourself a favor and don’t even bother enrolling your child here, your experience will likely be similar to mine.
July 19 · Kirstie PutrelloOur son attended Amplitude Gymnastics for three years and was a State Champion in his age group for two consecutive years. However, our experience with this place took a horrific turn last December, and we feel compelled to share it.Our son was being trained by Coach Cole on the parallel bars. Despite expressing his fear and feeling unprepared for a particular skill, Coach Cole pushed him to perform it. Tragically, our son fell hard. There was insufficient padding, and Coach Cole, standing at least 10 feet away with his hands behind his back, did not spot him. This was the first time our son cried from a fall, a clear indication of the severity of the incident, yet Coach Cole showed no concern and did not inform us of the accident. The injury our son sustained was so severe that it nearly cost him his ability to walk, forcing him to quit the sport he passionately loved. What’s more troubling is that Amplitude Gymnastics failed to follow the protocols of the American Gymnastics Association and demonstrated poor judgment regarding what is appropriate for a child. For the safety of your child, we strongly advise considering other places. Our experience has been devastating, and we hope no other family has to go through what we did.
July 24 · Olga VolkovMy daughter has been going here for last 3 to 4 years now. She has barely made any progress at all. This places expects kids to know skills before hand. They ABSOLUTELY DONT make any effort to help your child. In spite of repeated requests on progress, they care the least. Just now they have stared progress reports few months back. My daughter stayed there so long because of one instructor. After that instructor quit, the lady who owns the place started teacher her and she looks down on my daughter. She demotivated my daughter to an extent that my daughter wants to quit. She makes my daughter alone carry equipment, she doesn’t guide or coach or encourage. It’s like she has some grudge on my daughter because I didn’t send my daughter for private lessons with her. Save your self some pain and go find a better place for your children.
February 08 · Shailaja SrinivasaExcellent gymnastics coaches, absolutely piss poor business. My wife and I signed up for the adult gymnastics classes and we absolutely loved it. We were told that the first one was a trial and we had so much fun with the coach, I can't remember his name but he's awesome. The facility is nice and we had a good time so we said we would come back for the second one and officially sign up. Basically they said that for one month it would be $157 and we would need to sign something and I said okay, that was it. We showed up for 3 of the 4 following weeks and then around Thanksgiving we got super busy and we weren't able to make it for a couple of weeks. I'm thinking, damn well we paid for one class that we didn't go to that sucks but it's not the end of the world. We'll just start back in January when we have more time and start going all 4 weeks every month, no big deal.Fast foward to this week, I check my account as I'm out shopping for the holidays and there's another charge from Amplitude for $157. I call them immediately and get no answer, so I leave a message saying that nobody ever expressed to me that I had signed up for some kind of monthly subscription, I was just told it would be $157 for the month and asked if I could please be refunded. It was before open hours so I figured they'd call me back that night and then I'd explain there was a misunderstanding and no big deal we'd get refunded for December and start back in January.Nobody calls me back so I call the next day, and then the next 3 days after that. Calling and leaving a message every single time. One time a lady answered but told me that she wasn't involved with the office department but she'd have the office person call me right back. So a full WEEK goes by and I finally just got a call this morning at 10:30 AM from Amplitude and I'm thinking finally, someone is going to talk to me about this.Tell me why the first thing I hear from this woman on the phone is that I need to grow up and act like an adult who can read. That I signed a binding legal contract to be charged monthly for a gymnastics class and that in that contract it states that there is a 30-day notice if I want to drop the class or else they have the right to keep charging me until the end of time $157 monthly. NOBODY TOLD ME ANY OF THIS IN TO MY FACE ONE TIME. I understand that it might be in the contract but I am a customer and I trusted the business to give me the full information about the situation and AT AMPLITUDE THEY DO NOT CARE IF YOU UNDERSTAND THEIR SYSTEM. The woman that signed me up for the class literally told me "It will be $157 for the full month for both you and your wife, you can sign here and swipe/tap your card." Literally told me nothing else, not that it was a reoccurring payment, not that I needed to let them know BY EMAIL 30 days in advance if I ever plan to stop coming, nothing.I absolutely do not appreciate a local institution doing business this way. This is the kind of thing you would expect from over the phone scam callers and big business corporations trying to trick you into signing up for subscriptions. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the gymnastics class itself or the coaches, but I will not be coming back simply because of the way that this place runs it business and the way that I was treated by the employee on the phone. I have never been told to grow up and act like an adult, or asked if I can read by employee after a WEEK of me trying to get in touch with the business and sort it out. It's absolutely ridiculous and I hope that all of you make sure you read every word of every thing they make you sign here because I PROMISE they're not going to tell you everything you need to know. Absolutely piss poor business and terrible customer service, so rude and so unprofessional. Completely night and day from the respect and intelligence shown by the coaches. I feel bad that the coaches are being represented as a business in such a shotty, unprofessional, and shady way.
December 04 · Nathan BrittIf I could give 0 stars I would. I wish I could say something positive but I can’t. My child attended this school for over a year and still teachers didn’t know her name, very little progress in development, the front desk person is unwelcoming, doesn’t greet people and lacks customer service. Waiting area for parents is unkept and dirty. The teachers for my child were college students maybe but not quite sure they were qualified and lacked true supervision of the kids. I could go on but I don’t need to. There are way more other places you should spend your money.
