Allegiate Gym Introduce
Welcome to Allegiate Gym in Century City, a standout fitness destination that is redefining the strength training experience in Los Angeles. This is not your typical gym with rows of cardio machines and a sprawling, impersonal floor. Instead, Allegiate is a highly focused and specialized facility dedicated to "professional-grade, evidence-based strength programming." The core philosophy is to use a systematic approach to group-based strength training, focusing on structural balance and progressive overload. This means every workout has a purpose, and every movement is designed to get you stronger in the most optimal way possible. Whether you are a beginner looking to build a foundation or an elite athlete striving for a new personal record, the gym’s programming is tailored to help you achieve your goals safely and effectively. The small class sizes, as one client noted, give you the feel of a "private trainer/workout with the best equipment money can buy" but with the added motivation of a small, supportive group. The culture is a key part of the experience, described as a place where "all the members are great people" and the coaches are "supportive and encouraging."
Allegiate Gym sets itself apart with its unwavering commitment to quality. The "top tier coaches, equipment, and culture" are consistently highlighted as reasons why clients consider Allegiate the "best gym in LA." The coaches are not just there to lead a class; they are highly knowledgeable professionals who are "incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, professional, and willing to correct your form." This level of hands-on guidance ensures that you are performing exercises correctly and safely, maximizing your results and minimizing the risk of injury. One client gave a special shout-out to a coach named Forrest, emphasizing that he is an integral part of what makes the gym so special. The training style is no-nonsense and direct. As a reviewer mentioned, the coaches "keep you honest," and "if you can probably go heavier, they will tell you, and that’s what you want." This supportive but challenging approach is what helps members break through plateaus and make real progress. The workouts are a great mix of "heavy compound lifts and isolation movements," providing a complete full-body workout. For anyone in the California region who wants to get strong and is looking for a serious, science-based approach to training, Allegiate offers a program that is both effective and highly motivating. The positive energy and sense of camaraderie make every session an enjoyable and empowering experience, proving that a serious workout can still be a fun and social event.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I left a review for Allegiate Santa Monica (my primary location), but I just visited Allegiate Century City and wanted to add a review here to confirm that regardless of location, Allegiate is king! They are the best gym in LA when it comes to using professional-grade, evidence-based strength programming and combining that with top tier coaches, equipment, and culture to get the most out of you as either a beginner or an elite athlete. Special shout out to Forrest--it's hard to say what's most important in an awesome gym, but I can't imagine Allegiate being what it is without coaches like Forrest who are incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, professional, and willing to correct your form/engage you and get the most out of you. Classes are small, so you're basically getting a private trainer/workout with the best equipment money can buy and the bonus of having a few other people around you as motivation/friends.The only annoying part of this location is paid parking (albeit just $2)
July 18 · Trevor LloydAllegiate is no joke. The coaches are supportive and encouraging, but they keep you honest at the same time. If you can probably go heavier, they will tell you, and that’s what you want. I go three days a week, each day is full body. All I need for the week. A great mix of heavy compound lifts and isolation movements. If you want to get strong, this style of training is the most optimal way. And all the members are great people. Highly recommend.
August 05 · Miles MahoneyI trained privately at Allegiate in Century City for several months, focused on building muscle and strength. Allegiate’s programming is built around progressive overload, time under tension, and structured periodization blocks — time-tested training principles that ensure consistent, measurable progress without risking burnout or injury. They systematically track every workout through an app, logging each rep and weight. Through this approach, I unlocked potential and discovered new skills I didn’t realize I had, ultimately becoming stronger than ever.A special shout out to Kirk and Forrest. Through their coaching, I not only refined my technique to avoid injury but also corrected bad habits I’d accumulated from years of lifting on my own. Their commitment to proper form and evidence-based programming underscores Allegiate’s reputation for excellence in strength training.I temporarily stepped away from Allegiate to accommodate other personal commitments, and life after Allegiate hasn’t been the same! My only feedback for the owners would be to introduce some cardio equipment, like a treadmill. The gym is heavily promoting strength > cardio. Cardiovascular training is crucial for overall cardiovascular fitness, recovery, and performance. We do not need to perpetuate the running joke about lifters who cannot run 2 miles. I aim to be a hybrid athlete: capable of lifting heavy and running for miles. Even so, Allegiate stands as a paragon of scientifically backed strength training. I hope to be back soon!
February 24 · Hannah TranI’ve been a member of several gyms, but this one is by far the best I’ve ever been a part of! The focus on tracking growth is something I truly appreciate—there’s a real emphasis on progress, not just workouts. The workouts themselves are expertly designed, with a perfect balance of intensity and structure to keep me challenged while allowing for continual improvement. The coaches are exceptional—they’re knowledgeable, approachable, and always offer personalized guidance to help me reach my goals. I’ve never felt more supported and motivated. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to take their fitness to the next level!
December 25 · Stefan TodorovicAllegiate is like no other gym I’ve attended. Everything from the quality of the equipment, the technology, the cleanliness, the coaches and most of all the advanced programming is top notch. Classes are small, everyone is engaged, and there is a strong sense of community. I’ve only been attending for a month and already am seeing some great results. If you’re on the fence, or just need a new experience, join! Allegiate is elite in a sea full of gyms and classes.
