February 09 · Lauren BarrosoYoga Shanti’s teacher trainings exceeded all of my expectations!! I participated mostly online with a few weekends at the studio and still felt seen, heard, understood, and valued. The program supported my growth based on the overall program goals and also my own personal goals. The structure of the program’s faculty & staff gave students broad perspective on the variety of topics presented, access to experts in asana, pranayama, yogic philosophy, anatomy, and so many other topics. The organization of the overall course schedule, the homework, supplemental resources, and replay videos of the live sessions made the training efficient, accessible, and easy to get the most out of the program.Yoga Shanti has created the most supportive, inclusive, authentic community in which I have ever been privileged to belong. I felt uniquely valued and cared for, yet at the same time watched every student experience that same level of connection and support. The mentors were a pivotal part of the program, helping ensure that we understood key concepts, meeting with us one-on-one to address our specific concerns, and overall helping to navigate all aspects of both the training itself and our development. Final teaching assignments were thoughtfully tailored toward each individual to highlight both areas in which we were strong and areas in which we needed to spend enhance our knowledge and skillsets. The class environment encouraged learning and trying skills outside our comfort zones. Critique was always given with love because they saw our potential and wanted to help us grow. The space was truly safe to try and fail knowing that we had the support to learn from our mistakes and try again.I cannot say enough positive things about this program! Participating in both the 200 and 300-hour trainings have been some of the best decisions I have ever made.
July 17 · Lyndsay RushI have taken classes, completed two Teacher Trainings and feel like I have just begun a wonderful journey! I was a runner, took many yoga classes but did not practice yoga. Thankful for the wisdom Colleen, Rodney and the Yoga Shanti teachers shared during YTT trainings. These teachers are ALL amazing! If you are a beginner or advanced yogi you will love classes and trainings from Yoga Shanti. The trainings my daughter and I participated in were quite transformative for body, mind & spirit. In-person and online YTT, & classes are available and Amazing🙏💥
May 24 · Kathryn GurleyIm so thankful for Yoga Shanti, Rodney and Colleen are amazing yogis and committed to their students. All the teachers there are kind and extremely talented, I highly recommend this studio. There is always the option to practice in person or online. You will be challenged with every class you take.
June 30 · Sultana KazanasAn incredible yoga experience is with colleen. Her attention to sequencing and transitioning are superb. Best way to unravel your holding patterns with her exceptional eye for biomechanial imbalances is to take her classes or attend her retreats. Her preparation with themes and integration of each student's holistical needs are phenomenal. She is the only instructor or performer or presenter to bring joy and tears to my eyes with incredible presentation at her first space in sag harbor to the stage in NOLA and Beverly Hills hotel. I only wish that she would expand her expertise into sportsmedicine and law enforcement fields. Always a fan from the naughright family from Babs to our fur babies this woman has humbling traveled a journey from red carpet to the yoga mat. The gridiron could sure utilize her integrated ways along with many other unique settings. Best from Dr. J and hopes to see many corporations sponsor this humanitarian who will always be a Leo by nature but an artist in more than just color, tunes and comical ways.
