Mudita Yoga Labs' Meditation Group is an open meditation class based on the practice of Shamatha - a form of meditation common to many Buddhist traditions. Shamatha in Sanskrit means the development of peacefulness and in meditation it means facing one’s mind directly with a gentle and curious approach. Our practice is informed by Shambhala Buddhist teachings in which all the meditation leaders are trained and authorized. The class meets for 90 minutes offering the practices of sitting and walking meditation, group and individual meditation instruction. Suggested $5 donation.
- Align and Flow Yoga Classes
Mudita Yoga Labs Align + Flow class is an Anusara Elements class. Classes focus on alignment as a way of bringing us into our bodies and into the present moment. We take time in each pose to integrate principles of alignment and connect with our breath. Poses flow from one to the next, keeping us safe and present, while holding poses longer helps build strength and balance. In addition to flowing asana, classes often incorporate breath work and meditation. Align + Flow classes at Mudita Yoga Lab are designed for students of all levels. Special care is given to beginners and optional expressions of poses are offered for more experienced students. All are encouraged to check in with their own innate wisdom and listen to what their body is telling them in each moment.

Kundalini yoga is a technology that directs energy by using mantra (sound current), breath work, kriyas (sets of postures), meditations, and gong sound healing. It alters the functioning of the brain and body into a positive, vital direction. Mudita Yoga Lab offer Kundalini Yoga Classes in Kingston, NY several times a week so please the schedule.

The 30-minute meditation sessions at Mudita Yoga Lab are on Tuesdays and Saturdays. These meditation sessions may include readings from Yoga masters to inspire and time for questions and discussion. If you are new to meditation, we suggest starting with our 15-minute meditation class, usually held after yoga sessions (check schedule). Once you are comfortable with meditation, you can advance to the 30-minute meditation classes offered at Mudita Yoga Lab.
