★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I joined yoga cave when I was going through one of the toughest times of my life left me emotionally drained. I didn’t know what to expect when I walked in, but looking back now, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.Huge thanks to my incredible owner Joanne, and to coach Alison, Chris, Ron etc — your classes completely shaped me to a different new person. I still remember the messages at the end of Joanne’ class — it moved me to tears every time. Somehow, it was exactly what I needed to hear.Over time, this studio became more than just a place to stretch or sweat. It became my sanctuary. I fell in love with yoga, made wonderful friends, and found a supportive community that truly helped me heal. I’m now happier, stronger and am in the best shape I’ve been in for years and honestly, I feel and look better than ever for my age. What surprised me most was how much I gained mentally and emotionally. The meditation and stillness I learned here gave me something I’d been chasing for years — inner peace.I wholeheartedly recommend this yoga studio to anyone, whether you’re looking to transform your body, your mind, or your life. It gave me all three.
August 02 · AcozyhouseAmazing studio. May 09 · Matthew BrasicI attended Ron’s class, “Invigorating Vinyasa with Meditation.” Ron shows authenticity in his personality; he has an energy and a true passion for his teaching, wanting to educate and inspire others. He’s empowering with a positive attitude. The class consisted of 4 females (including myself) and two males. The only predictable part of the class was when students chose where to place their mats. You know the moment, when we (or at least I) pretend not to pay attention to the interpersonal and intrapersonal dynamics of the other students.According to my observation, two females were regulars, the third female had previously attended a class but not many or maybe not with this instructor, one male had attended a class taught by Ron but was a beginner level, the other male was in jeans, yes jeans, and I was taking my first class at this studio and first class with this teacher. The two female regulars placed their mats right in front. Of course one of the females had to be “that yogi,” the kind that once class started she had to move faster than instructed. I find this disrespectful not only to the class, but more importantly to the teacher. The reason I provide this background is because after my initial judgement, I never noticed another student the entire class. All yoga classes have a unique attribute, this class in particular stands out to me more than others because of the diversity of each yogi: mentally, physically, emotionally, and even stylistically (referring to the jeans).Ron’s intention changed my entire perspective and therefore my practice. I don’t want to give away his intellectual property, because I believe he has ownership of the concepts. The insight and knowledge he provided truly is his own original, creatively developed work.A good teacher constantly challenges and encourages the students. Ron is an exceptional teacher by taking into account the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual state of his students by observing and listening.I started to get a little nervous when it felt like we were almost halfway through the class and Ron had not given me any adjustments. Only reflecting back now do I realize he was learning about me to know the best way to assist my practice. His adjustments were AMAZING! I actually would have liked more but it most likely would have pushed me too far and Ron knew the proper individual guidance I needed.Another strength of Ron’s teaching is his humility. He shares his knowledge and wisdom without putting himself on a pedestal, or making any student feel inadequate physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. He showed his knowledge, instead of telling his background story.A new student should be able to come to class and feel that the experience was a positive one and leave with more knowledge of yoga, which is exactly what Ron’s “Invigorating Vinyasa with Meditation” did for me. I will be back!
