For New Yorkers seeking a yoga experience that breaks the mold, Y7 Studio in Park Slope presents a compelling and unique alternative. This studio has carved out its own niche in the city's fitness scene, combining a heated environment with a hip-hop soundtrack and a distinct, judgment-free philosophy. Unlike traditional yoga studios, Y7 is known for its "WeFlowHard" Vinyasa style, which is both physically challenging and mentally invigorating. In a city that never stops, Y7 offers a space where you can let go, move to the rhythm, and get lost in your practice, all while getting a serious workout. This studio is a perfect destination for those who are looking for more than just a quiet stretch; they want a dynamic, sweaty, and empowering experience.
The core concept of Y7 Studio is a fusion of a few key elements: heat, music, and an immersive environment. The studio rooms are heated to 80-90 degrees using infrared technology, which warms the body from the inside out, helping to improve flexibility and promote a deep sweat. What truly sets Y7 apart is the curated hip-hop playlist that accompanies each class. The music is an integral part of the experience, driving the pace and energy of the flow. Furthermore, the studios are dimly lit by candlelight, which creates an intimate and non-intimidating atmosphere. This darkness encourages you to turn your focus inward and away from others, allowing you to practice without the fear of being judged. This unique combination makes for a powerful and transformative experience, where you can find your flow and let loose without any pretense.
Y7 Studio is a women-owned business that has successfully cultivated a loyal following by staying true to its innovative approach. The classes are designed for all levels, and instructors are skilled at providing cues that guide you through the sequences, even in the low light. They encourage modifications and variations, empowering you to make the practice your own. The community that forms around Y7 is one of dedication and a shared love for a workout that is as much a mental release as it is a physical challenge. It's a place where the energetic soundtrack, the heat, and the absence of mirrors all come together to create a space that is both welcoming and demanding.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Amazing class. Was my firat time. Chloe has great energy and teaches in a way that anyone could grasp the exercises. Love that it’s heated, but tolerable. Ankle weights were a new thing for me and it stepped up the whole workout. Will definitely go back.
August 24 · Ilissa JacksonHeads up - single classes at Y7 expire within 7 days. Yes, you read that correctly - 7 days! I booked a class, got the flu so rescheduled it to the following week to discover that their classes expire within 7 days of purchase with no exceptions. After having attended class at Y7 for 10+ years across a number of different studios I can confidently say I will not return. There is no good reason for a class to expire within 7 days other than to take money from customers.
May 29 · Liz PLove the routines with Y7 studio! Good stretch and great workout. The place is well maintained. Instructors are very good.
August 25 · Susan HuaI have loved this studio and its classes for over a year, but am appalled at how I was treated today. I arrived two minutes late after running over a mile to get to the studio following a delayed train. The staff refused to let me in or make any exception for the circumstances. I recognize the goal of the policy, but the studio would do well to keep the end goal in mind while also being reasonable in extenuating circumstances. I hope they have more respect for their customers in the future.
March 13 · Annie VirnigLOVE Y7!!! Alexandra’s class was amazing! I love the dark candle lit vibe of the studio. Truly my favorite hot yoga studio in NYC.
