Wright's Gym Introduce
For those in the Pittsburgh area seeking a gym that is far more than just a place to lift weights, Wright's Gym in Crafton, Pennsylvania, is a true hidden gem. This is a place with a unique and powerful identity, one built on "grit" and a strong sense of community. While it may be tucked away, its reputation among those who know it is nothing short of five-star. This gym has cultivated a loyal following and a dedicated community that is its most defining feature. Whether your goal is to "become a beast," lose weight, or learn vital self-defense skills, Wright's Gym provides a no-BS environment where you are fully supported on your journey. It's a blend of cutting-edge and old-school grit, designed to fit the needs of everyone from casual gym-goers to competitive athletes.
What makes Wright's Gym truly unique is its all-in-one approach to fitness. It seamlessly blends traditional weight training and fitness with a wide array of martial arts programs. This duality creates a dynamic and diverse atmosphere where different training styles and goals coexist. A former member who has traveled the world and experienced a huge variety of gyms noted that this place is "pretty rare," thanks to the loyalty to its owner and the community it has created. The gym’s leadership is highly regarded for its passion and expertise, and the quality of the equipment is top-notch. However, as noted by some, the gym has a very specific ethos that may not be for everyone. A reviewer mentioned a difficult experience with a staff member during a squat, citing a lack of safeties on their benches as a "HUGE red flag" and a safety concern. While this stands in contrast to the generally positive reviews, it highlights the importance of understanding the gym's specific setup and culture before committing. Despite this, many members find the gym's a-typical nature to be its greatest strength, attracting a crowd that is there to "get work done" and not just socialize.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was a member of Wrights Gym for a few years while living in the area. I tend to travel a lot and so I have been to a huge variety of gyms all over the world. This gym 100% deserves 5 stars. What is unique about this gym is that its not just a place to lift weights. This gym has a loyalty base to the owner and the community that it has created. If you want to come here and just become a beast or you want to loose weight or you want to do self defense classes. You can do it and nobody will stop you. I sorta was slightly the odd man out bc in my journey I have done all the Cross Fit and heavy lifting and now just value Yoga or Kinetic style workouts but on occasion I deff go through heavy lifting phases. I honestly believe with the following this place has and the quality of equipment and leadership, the place could expand into a huge compound vs being hidden in a basement. I honestly think it has that kind of potential. To find a gym like this is pretty rare. I enjoyed my time here as I was traveling in and out of town and do recommend this place if you want a no BS gym. However you just have to look past the fact that you have to be able to take the GRIT that comes along with it.Good place, secret gem really. I hope they expand someday because they deff have that potential.
April 24 · Kevin IceI asked the gym staff for a spot on 425. I asked for 2 side spots as I didn't trust that he could spot me alone, he insisted that we wouldn't need it and he was greatly offended that I asked.well we failed the squat and went straight down. luckily I had the safeties but there are no safeties on bench so if I would have failed my bench PR.he continued to come up to me and tell me he "should have been closer" and "knew I didn't have it". I have been unable to return as I don't think I can safely lift and I am locked into a year long membership.2 stars because I did like it for the time being, but one deadlift platform limits things.I put my safety above all else when lifting, and them not having a single bench with safeties is a HUGE red flag.

April 06 · Сергій БачинськийThis is the best gym I’ve ever joined. Dave has done something really awesome for the community and every ounce of this business is ethical, transparent, and dedicated to helping you meet your goals. The employees are all super friendly and you feel like you are not just a client/member, but a friend. The atmosphere is super supportive and, unlike commercial gyms, this is ACTUALLY the judgment free zone.I’m moving to Virginia and wish I could take this gym with me. They’ve made a ton of positive changes recently and I can’t wait to see what they do next. This is a gym where the staff are qualified, professional, and are not just out to take your money. When I told them I was moving, they told me exactly how to cancel as to not waste any extra money. I would strongly recommend to anyone.
April 09 · James ConwellEasily the best gym in PA. Wish I could give it 6 stars.
