★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The class was ok, most of the class is a tabata style and then 4 bag rounds. It just wasn't for me, I enjoy loud music and more kickboxing. Also, the amount of texts, emails and phone calls was ridiculous.
September 16 · Salenna Veiga2 stars is from my point of view, but others may like this more than me.The workouts are mediocre and there is very minimal instruction. The class is split in a typical way: 1-2min warm up, 20min conditioning, 20min kickboxing, 1-2min cool downPrimary reasons for 2 stars:-Conditioning is always boring, and this conditioning is so mundane with no energy from the instructor. Typically the the instructor demonstrates 3-5 exercises and the class simply repeats them for the entire 20 minutes. During that time, you're going at your own pace (which some people may like). I would look around the room each class and everyone had issues with their form. Instructor didn't say anything - so I started wondering, how bad am I performing these exercises? I'd never know - there is no instruction and very little encouragement. I like when I am reminded of good form, encouraged to "dig deeper" etc. But 20 minutes just repeating the same small loop of exercises is just so boring. I kept asking myself, what am I paying for?-Kickboxing portion is very short, often uninspired routines. I also didn't have much left after pushing myself to do ~150 jump squats during 20mins of conditioning on a loop. I fell in love with kickboxing at a gym that was run by a retired military vet. He was so energetic and loved created interesting combinations and really brought the sport alive. The instructor here timidly provides you a demonstration and then you repeat (like normal), but I found it all so very dull.-Topping it off, the music is tiresome. I'm an elder millennial and sure I love me some 2000s-2010s poppy club music but the playlists had the most over played songs I'm still sick of in 2024. I usually don't care what the music is in a workout class, but given the lack of inspiration from the instructor or interesting exercises I was desperate to draw inspiration from anywhere. Also, the facility is very "just okay." It's pretty clean (not sure how often floor mats are cleaned though...). Parking is very easy.Furthermore, I HATED the marketing interaction from the company itself. They send the worst, cringely e-mails and text messages on a regular basis. I was so happy once I could block them all. (If you block them while taking classes, you can't receive any notices about the classes.) And their "limited promo" on their website is always there (intro 3 classes like ~$30). Classes are just about worth $10/ea but the regular price is +$25/class for their packages (as of Aug 2024).The only good thing I can say about the place is that the other people attending the class are very nice and sweet people. The instructor is a nice, friendly person but simply not the type of class leader I'd like to have.
October 25 · Melinda AlbertThis is by far one of the strongest workouts you can get! A great combination of strength and cardio. The instructors are amazing and very supportive while pushing you to do just a little bit more. Everyone is very welcoming, I always look forward to coming here!
March 28 · Angie MasonIf you are out of shape, have limitations with what your body can do, are overweight, weak, have bad knees, lack flexibility, and find yourself struggling, Woodinville Kickboxing is the place for you. Tons of variety and no two workouts are the same. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, and will modify exercises for you. They really listen and care you get the most out of each session. Before you know it, you become stronger! Classes consist of smaller groups and it is a family owned studio, so you actually see the owners on a regular basis. The members are all ages, sizes and fitness levels. All the encouragement and feedback you receive, helps keep you motivated to reach your goals. You want results, join Woodinville Kickboxing now. I promise you will not regret it!
August 02 · Francesca GregoryI love this workout, and these people. Kickboxing is such a fun way to get in your muscle building and cardio, and the instructors here make it fun and accessible. All the instructors are great at helping you exercise at your fitness level and to meet your goals, and there are modifications and alternative exercises for everything. I've been coming here for two years, and I've never run into a person who made my experience less than amazing. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. How worth it is it? I'm currently living 25 miles away from the gym and still go here
